If Pronger's not even able to shoot, I have to question whether his return is actually a good thing for the Flyers. I have to think he won't get that many minutes and the team is just hoping he provides an energy boost.

Scoring an early goal with him on the ice would kill that tactic...

My prediction: Carcillo whines that Kaleta or McCormick is hitting him with closed fists during a fight instead of WWE open fists.

Carcillo: "ouch not sooo hard"

Bring the toughness tonight Buffalo! WIN! Crush their hopes and dreams!!

I suspect Ruff will employ a tactic that's worked in the past whenever his faces a team with a dominant defenseman that logs a lot of ice time (i.e. Bourque, Chara): hit him at every chance and wear him down. Pronger's known for having a temper and can be easily goaded into retaliatory penalties as well.

I expect the flyers players to play "mother" to pronger, be over protective and take stupid penalties.

I hope the Flyers are so amped up and want to prove to their fans that they wont be pushed around, particularly not in their own building.

We have to worry about being baited into retaliation penalties. The home team will get the home town calls tonight.

Win!

Possibly but with the way Game 4 ended and the war of words in the media between the teams, something tells me that the officials will be warned to keep a tight leash on both teams and that we'll see a ton of power plays for both teams.

Let's...Go....Buffalo.

We gotta win one in Philly, why not this one.

Oh, and this is why I didn't want to play Philly. It's blacked out everywhere. Versus and NHL.com. I have DIRECTV and Comcast rules this city.

Wow. I think we can safely say that if he comes back this series, he's not going to be a difference maker. His hand's still broken, ffs.

Gotta win this one now. Big opportunity. Stop Leino-Briere-Hartnell and Giroux-JvDive and we have a great chance.

Now Tim Panaccio is reporting Pronger out as well. This is a huge chance for the Sabres.

The Sabres' lines:

Nathan Gerbe-Tim Connolly-Drew Stafford

Thomas Vanek-Paul Gaustad-Patrick Kaleta

Tyler Ennis-Rob Niedermayer-Jason Pominville

Cody McCormick-Brad Boyes-Mike Grier

Chris Butler-Tyler Myers

Marc-Andre Gragnani-Jordan Leopold

Mike Weber-Steve Montador

Is it already confirmed that Powe will replace Carter on the Giroux line? I would have figured they'd move up Versteeg or Zherdev since they use the Richards line as their shutdown line.

Those were already the lines in game 4, nothing surprising.

Looking at those lines:
Ruff's throwing **** at the wall.
They still could work though.

Weird lines from practice today. I'm not sure what to think of them yet. Hopefully they pan out. I'm just glad Vanek and Connolly are broken up. I'm not sure about splitting Gaustad and Gerbe, though. We'll see how it goes.

I'm thinking OT too for some reason. I just hope we're on the winning side. That pasty little vampire scares me in OT.

I don't remember Gaustad with Vanek and Kaleta. Then again I don't remember any center playing with Vanek and Kaleta, so it could've been anyone.
