Unreal trade for Chicago, this will solidify that extra scoring they need right now

Props to Stan. I liked Jack but he seemed to pretty much be a "what you see is what you get" type of player. Good luck to him in Florida and welcome Mike.

Ya Skille seems like just a guy...not sure he was ever going to really contribute.

Hello new 2nd line center.

Goodbye 4th line winger.

edit: stupid nhl.com listing him as a center

Do you guys think there is something more to this? He's a RWer, which means he would go to the 3rd or 4th line, where I don't think he fits.

Maybe they will try to transform him into a LWer? Also, he will command decent coin in the off season, so this really isn't making sense right now.

Although, what a great ****ing trade anyway. I never thought we would get ANYTHING for Skille, and we get Frolik and a goaltending prospect which we desperately needed? Wow!

Now let's hope the Hawks feed off this and realize the front office is doing what they can to improve this team now.

Frolik is a RFA, he's not the type of player that receives an offer sheet.

Wow, that's a hell of a player we just got.

I liked Skille but have to admit that he was never going to amount to more than a third liner... and even that looks a little doubtful at this point.

Are you sure Frolik is a right winger? Hockeydb has him listed as a LW.

Really have no clue. They've wanted a 2nd line center so they can play Sharrp at his natural wing position. However, they can keep Sharp at center and give the 3rd line a big boost by putting Frolik on the right side with Bolland at center.

Solid trade for you guys, but I come here with a question,

Yes this is from Eklund, but Im interested in peoples take on this

Skille, another of the Kane Entourage, moved out of town...interesting twist More coming from Chicago including a possible very big upper management change..

Does moving have to do with some type of problem with Kane? Im honestly just wondering

I feel bad for Skille but he was the one young player I thought we could trade. Sounds like a good trade to me. Well done Stan.

dammit I'm playing him at C

Sharp-Toews-Kane
Brouwer-Frolik-Hossa
Bickell-Bolland-Kopecky
Stalberg-Dowell-Pisani

I can dig it.

He'll play LW. I think of it as insurance at ever having Stalberg near the top six again.

Doesn't solve Chicago's problems but still makes them better. Now, move Stalberg for a #4 defenseman and possibly move Kopecky and we'll be going places.

good trade for you guys

Frolik - Toews - Kane
Brouwer - Sharp - Hossa
Kopecky - Bolland - Bickell
Stalberg - Dowell - Pisani

I'd assume.

I really really like Jack Skille and I still think he can be a very good player in the NHL if he ever learns to just slow down and learn to read plays rather than skate full speed up the wing every time he touches the puck.

Still GREAT trade by Stan Bowman... this goes up there with getting Leddy for Barker.

Frolik is younger and has proven himself in the NHL over Skille.

Hats off to Bowman.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

HOW STAN!! HOW DID YOU DO THIS!!!

Unreal deal for us. Young kid with 2 20 goal seasons for a 4th/3rd liner, a career AHLer, and a decent prospect + We get a solid Goalie prospect.

STAN THE MO'*** MAN!!!!!!!!

Wait WHAT? Frolik? I like Skille but that is ****ing awesome. Second line is solidfied. Bring up Ben Smith or Morin to solidify the botton six. Kind of losing it right now. Unreal.

Jack Skille is a strong, fast, gritty, and talented winger. He lacks one big part of his game, the ability to see the ice and be able to see plays develeop and make them... sadly that is something very hard to learn/teach a player.

Thank you for your effort Jack Skille... I wish him the best of luck moving forward.
