Offside on Bruins OT goal?

http://www.ckac.com/hockey/nouvelles...-je-72065.html

Anyhow, so many bad things on the same play:

1- Moen thinks he is Crosby and tries to deke the defence

2- Bad defence line change

3- Spacek never gets up after he slid ( guess he was tired and wanted to rest )

4- Sopel hits a guy behind the net, and he doesn't even have the puck

5- Gionta stays in front of the net and gets really good pictures of the goal

6- Price is too weak... duh, this must be the reason, I mean come on Price... That's a must do save -.-

The past is the past... Too many mistakes in OT gets this result... Let's not try to find excuses. Win next one!

I'd be more upset if on the 3-1 rush, they score right away..

but that's not the case. We had enough players there who could get the puck off.. they didn't.

End of story.

Say what? Price had no chance on that and still got a piece of it. You can't ask him to make that save when there was such a smorgasboard of mistakes made in front of him. You can't even ask him to make that save giving the disgusting way Montreal pissed that game away. It should've been over by the halfway point, the way the Habs were dominating. Instead they let Boston back into the game and played really nervous the rest of the way. Blowing that PP late in the third was the death knell. You just can't let chances like that get away in the playoffs.

Pretty sure it was sarcasm considering some people here think every goal that isn't a highlite reel play should be stopped by him.

I think he can stop even the highlight reel goals. You silly fair weather fans have no faith in your goalie / team

I blame the $7 million dollar 30pts player on the his team and the ******* that got him.

Price is the last person I blame if we end up losing the series.

BOTH Bruins were offside on the OT goal. That's inexcusable. Reminds me of that offside Bruin-killer Kovalev goal back in 2004 though, so maybe it's karma. Or an Ontario linesman. The refs owe us BIGTIME against this team.

The boys really need to put all of this behind them and quickly. All Cup teams have bumps in the road, so why shouldn't we?

Jeff Carter is out for the playoffs. The Flyers are vulnerable.

If Montreal can pull it together, we have a legitimate shot at getting to the finals this year.

This is the playoffs, they have to erase the memory banks and get back to business immediately. This is when I'm glad we have Jacques Martin. He'll get them refocused.

Every player has to get better.

Stop it with that omg....

There is no way the lineman can call this offside, NO WAY.

We lost, don't find excuses for god sake

It wasn't offside. Even if it was, it's human error. Get out of the past, live in the present and look forward to the future, that being tomorrow night's game.

Price played poorly yesterday, but he had no chance on the winner. None at all.

They all have at least a skate behind the line. No offside, bud.

technically, Corp, Whatsatheo is right. You can't have your foot in the air OVER the blue line, has to be touching it. Happened in the Chi-Van game 4 as well. Doesn't matter much though. What happened after that was just GARBAGE. I suppose Gio was trying to take the passer and Ryder but the latter was just left way too open and just a terrible play by the D.

But it's extremely close.

Sorry, the game isn't played in "frames". Get over it, we lost. Focus on game 5.

I agree. It's not where we lost the game anyway. And linesmen routinely will give thsoe kinds of "ties."

They need to clean it up for the next game.

And quite possible he did drag the tip of his blade, though it sure looks off the ice to me in the video. The picture is harder to tell. Either way, very close.

EDIT: Upon further review of the video, he doesn't drag his blade at all. So this was offside.

I should have mentioned that I stole that picture from another Bruins fan on the main boards. I wish I had a source to try to get a better screenshot from, it's very tough to tell if his foot is up or not with that small picture.

But like some of you pointed out, it's next to impossible for a linesman to make those calls at full speed. They don't have the luxury of going over this stuff frame by frame like us crazy fans.

This.

And if you really want to blame someone, there's more than enough to go around for the 5 guys in red sweaters on the ice (as seen in the OP). No need to bring officiating into this.

His back skate was in the air when the puck crossed the line, but still very hard to tell when you're the ref on the ice and the play is going by so fast...

It was offsides but not like it matters. Habs had the game in the bag when it was 3-1, they let it slip away and don't deserve the win.

Move on to the next game. Not like it matters anyways.

I am not blaming the refs or excusing the Habs.

Just tought it would be intersting to have different point of views. But I agree that it would have been nearly, if not, impossible to see that
