We got up early and held on. Only goal that was a 'bad goal' for Niemi was the Penner. The first was a great deflection and the second was just a 2-on-1.
Hopefully we can go home and force this to Game 7 where we know we can beat the Sharks on the road.
Matt Greene is our worst player right now. Besides he and Martinez getting torched on a consistent basis, he's been playing like a cro-magnon, doing his best to lose us games with ill-timed penalties.
Other than that, amazing game. One of Quick's best performances, ever I'd say. Simmonds Clifford Richardson (the God Line, henceforth) were spectacular again.
LMAO....Greene wasn't terrible in regards to coverage, he took 2 boneheaded penalties that could have cost the game, that's what killed him.
Greene was terrible in all facets. Ill-timed pinches, running around chasing hits, stupid penalties, etc. He's just lucky nothing he did wrong tonight cost the team, mostly due to Quick.

I don't know how everyone else saw the game, haven't read the GDT. Lots of players did their jobs adequately but I would not say the team as a unit played as well as they could have. There were a few guys who played very well and one guy who played out of his mind. There is another guy who wants to single-handedly cost the team this series and TM needs to get his ass off the ice, it is nearly to the point where I don't think Drewiske would do worse. There were defensive lapses but none so bad Quick couldn't bail them out, but let's not make any mistake, there were blown coverages out there and the Sharks did not capitalize. Perhaps this is a good confidence boost for the team and will get them to not make those mistakes.
The simple fact is that the team as a whole can play far better.
All I wanted going into this series was to see what would happen if the team had a chance to force Game 7, or clinch. We'll get to see the former now and I'm satisfied. The team can win both of these upcoming games.
Can Quick follow up this performance with another one or two?
And can the kings finally ****ing win at home??
Those are the two questions
If Quick can play like tonight for the rest of the series, we have a good shot at taking this. I just hope for a game 7, and there's nothing like a game 7 playoff game for fans.
Greene has been bad for a while now. He takes needless runs at people, constantly takes those stupid interference penalties and in general takes bad penalties all the time.
I'd rather have Harrold back on D, yeah I went there.
