Please elaborate instead of constantly posting "no he's not".

He's a 60-70 point guy who will probably play as an 80 point player who plays a 2-way game. If that's not a #1 center I don't know what is.

Top 30 C in the NHL (not in order).

Accounting for doubles (8), that means 22 teams have no. 1 Cs, using a quick rough method.
the dark names are not number 1 centerman

Are you saying a player needs to replicate their success in order for their stature to be validated? Ridiculous.

Ridiculous?

How do we know Grabovski is not a "one hit wonder"?

Then get off your high horse and list yours. The guys I have on there could or do play the center position at a high level. Guys like Pavelski and Sharp are particularly on there for their playoff performance.

Krejci has put up 73 points before. I'm not sure how you could think it's a reach.

Did you hold the rookie seasons of Crosby and Ovechkin in the same light. What about the Art Ross seasons from the Sedins?

When players put up numbers it's very safe to assume they're a proven commodity. You just look foolish saying they're still not "established".

My list, actually. But who exactly made you sole arbiter of no. 1 Cs?

Seems like a pointless debate if you won't offer a valid criteria, so I'm out.

because he put them up three years ago out of nowhere when top d-pairings were focused on savard.know that he deals with top pair d-men, big difference

Mhmm only 6 posts, and doing a lopsided BOS-TOR trade...If I knew anything other than commercial jingles I would be suspicious. But I dont, so I'm not.

How could you possibly compare Crosby and Ovechkin's situations to Grabovski's? Both of those two were known to be generational talents. I'm pretty sure everyone expected them to be the players they are today.

The Sedin's established themselves as 1st line players quite a while ago. The fact they are Art Ross players in their prime on a Stanely Cup favorite does not suprise me at all.

Do you guys seriously think Grabovski has established himself as a 1st line NHL player because he's had one good season?

I've noticed this too. None of these "Leaf Fans" ever appear on the Leafs board. Only here making these silly proposals.

The trade is
#1 centers:
getzlaf
e. staal
j. toews
stastny
b. richards
zetterberg
datsyuk
kopitar
koivu
carter
m. Richards
spezza
crosby
malkin
thorton
stamkos
backstrom
sedin
kesler
there are 19 by my count

#1 replacements (or really close to being number 1's)
plekanec
duchene
rebiero
pavelski
krejci
lecavelier
tavares
roy
8 of them
I agree with most of what you said. Krejci isn't and elite number one centre and on other teams who are cup contenders, he would be their second line centre.

On the Leafs, no questions asked he would be their first line centre. Him and Kessel are pretty good friends

Dude.. you really need to work on your hockey knowledge.

I'm done debating on Krejci. I don't think I'm getting anywhere with you guys.

all i'm saying is grabovski had a great year and took his game to another level this year and there's no reason he can't play at the same pace next year.

Okay, how about Patrick Sharp? Can barely stick it with a team, hits age 27 and boom. That story sound familiar?

No one has claimed Grabovski is a first line center. Don't be so ignorant.
