I'm not optimistic at all. Over the past few months, this team has shrunk against adversity on the whole and has played largely without fire and without sound offensive or defensive fundamentals. They seem intent on making things hard for themselves.

- PP is 3 levels below putrid
- Offense has struggled against Miller
- Missing Pronger and Carter
- Goaltending soap opera (of course)

I think this dry heave of a season ends tonight, and year 36 of disappointment for me with this team.

I don't know why you're so down on your Flyers---this series is far from over.

Fact: The Sabres have never won a series in which they have been down 2 games to 1.

The Flyers are a great road team.

Why are the Sabres beating the #2 team in the conference?
Because every game they've played since January has been a playoff game for them. They don't have the same level of talent as Philly, but they have been playing great as a team for 4 months.

The key for the Flyers to win: shake Miller early.

I don't know.

No Carter, No Pronger, our best goalie sitting in the hotel on game day, Richards playing like dog poo (but slower), Boucher playing like ass...... this situation is not ideal, never mind the fact that it's an elimination game.

We never shoud've pulled Bobrovsky.

Bob did just as bad in game 2 as Boosh did in game 5. Overall Boosh has been a lot better.

No no he didnt. Bob didn't let in 2 goals that were worse than the Patty Kane winner from the SC finals. 2 of those goals in the first 5 minutes is ****ing backbreaking. I don't care what team or player it is, any motivation and emotion was sucked dry because of those goals. Back against the wall I trust Bob over those other 2 idiots.

I like your post, but the Flyers enjoy breaking records or ending streaks for other teams.

sad, but true.

He was sick with the flu a couple of months ago on Rod Brind'Amour night in Carolina. Went out to the ice, gave Brindy a present from the Flyers and went straight to the dressing room. That same night the Flyers were frantically looking for Zherdev to replace him but couldn't find him and ended up replacing him with Jody Shelley. I think Richie missed one more game and said he lost about 10 pounds. Then against Buffalo he missed practice before game 1 and game 3 with a head cold.

He's not playing badly, he has no goals and 2 assists but he's killing penalties, playing the pp and even strength. His defence has been very strong as always.

People who aren't down on them don't post much. A lot of us are still behind them.

I don't know why people wouldn't still like our chances. Aside form the first period of game five, the Flyers have dominated this series. They are down 3-2, yes, but look at how they got there. Ryan Miller has been unbeatable 2/3 wins and the power play has been disgustingly bad for all five games. They already won two games in a row. They have showed they can control the game. It's just a matter of beating Miller. The Sabres, as a team, are very overmatched. Miller has kept them in this series. The only reason to not believe that the Flyers can't do it is so that if they lose you can say "I told you so." Other than that, this series is far from over.

All we have to do is sweep a home and home series against the Sabres. No big deal. That's how I'm looking at it anyway.

IF we start strong, then I think we will be okay - if we looked lost and complacent. We are ****ed.
