Apparently he said he felt a little drained mentally after the let down of the game one loss, but that he'd be okay...but then his body language and bad start in game 2 said otherwise. I still think it was highly damaging to banish him to the press box, though. Taking a huge bite out of the kid's confidence when he's really your only plan moving forward right now.

Yeah, seems like about the worst possible move for a guy who's already having confidence issues. And I think it's probably a stretch now to expect the team to have confidence playing in front of him if he's put back out there now. I feel for the guy, especially with the language barrier, that's gotta be tough.

my gut says give boosh one more shot, my heart says give bob one more shot, and my eyes say for whatever reason this team plays ridiculously well in front of leighton so give him another shot.

nobody deserves it.

As I've said in other threads, wanting to start Boucher isn't even about wanting to start Boucher...at a certain point this coaching staff has to invest a LITTLE confidence in our goalies' collective ability to bounce back from a bad outing. If you can't show them any confidence in their abilities, you're not going to get good games out of them.
I agree with this completely.

I don't get why Boucher is getting more vote then Leighton ! I never saw a goalie give so much weak goal ! Leighton have some good playoff experience Bob will get better but it's not the time to give that kid some playoff experience this is a ''no tomorrow'' game !

Leighton all the way !!!

I voted boucher.

Cant see them going back to bob since they havent even dressed him the last few games. And i have no confidence in leighton.

At least boucher didnt give up one of those goals in game six of the cup final, to lose the series like leighton did.

Bob, please.

He played lights out game one, came back with a one single bad period and he was yanked from the playoffs. You think sitting in the press box isn't motivation for the kid? I think he'd come out strong if we played him.

Start Bob.
At some point you just have to stop the merry-go-round and give him some playoff experience (good or bad). I'd rather advance or go home with the kid between the pipes!

At the risk of the Flyers coming up short and losing the next game, starting Bob would be a grave mistake. After what he said earlier this series, the guy isn't mentally capable at this point.

The only decision that makes sense (sadly) is Boucher.

Boucher. Like a few others have said, at some point you need to show some confidence in someone.

The team seems to play better with him in net, likely due to his bad positioning. It forces the dmen to be more alert. Boosh, up till last night, has been steady as a rock. Bob is extremely athletic and has had a heck of a learning curve and has surprised everyone from the get-go. Leighton just isn't a good goalie. He's big and fills the net well and that's really helped him.

Do you actually believe that? Couldn't the players just be a little more confident with him back there?

Boucher.

He had a bad game and probably cost us Game 5. Ok, awesome. But that doesn't mean he's going to come out and **** on another game. He wants to redeem himself, and I trust him a hell of a lot more than Leighton (Note regarding Boosh: People saying they've never seen a goalie give up such weak goals...Really? Did you watch how SCF Game 6 ended?). Leighton just looked shaky all game, and I wouldn't have been surprised to see 3 or 4 goals scored on him if the D didn't clear so many rebounds. I don't want to see him in a Flyers uniform ever again.

Bob just sounds like he's spent right now, and who can blame him? Maybe if we go to him, he proves that he's jumps over those mental hurdles, but I don't know if we can trust him with it, and I don't think Lavi will trust him with it.

Bobrovski.

Just cause I wanna hear those Buffalo fans try and sing song that name and absolutely butcher that chant cause Bob-rov-ski doesn't fit in a two syllable chant.

and who would that be? If this team is going to win the series, let alone the cup, someone needs to step up. You can't keep switching goalies after every bad game.
