I hope Green is ok, man he has bad luck with pucks to the head. They need to finish this game like they have been playing and finish this series so they can heal wounds.

I hope Gerardi broke his hand. What a cheap shot, he should be out of the game either way. Don't know why the refs called that 2 roughing penalties each way, doing NYR favors.

This idea that real men, stars included, block shots is ****ing stupid. I can't wait until the day that the league adjusts and comes off this current fad. The playoffs are a marathon. I don't get coaches sometimes. You send plugs out to do that, exactly like fighting, never your best players.

Green seems OK, but it's a risk every time a guy goes down.

I completely agree with Olczyk about Green. That guy really stepped up his defensive game this year and has cut down the dumb penalties.

Typical old-school Semin shift. Bad turnover, then a good rush and a good scoring opportunity.

It happens. Kind of hard to avoid really. Just have to hope players are able to minimize the risk. A hard thing to do against some shooters.

Had Chimera not vacated sound defensive position it probably never happens.

The fact that there is a bunch of screws has me kinda optimistic. That means it hit the helmet pretty hard. So maybe he isn't done. Not sure. hope he is ok.

Fehr looked like the slot shooter I am hoping he will be. I keep hoping he will be a Tim Kerr or mimic Knuble.

I think the fact it hit his helmet fully as opposed to his face is a good thing. Those things are designed to absorb impact. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a concussion, but I honestly think there is a chance he's fine and will be back next game/series.

Where can you go to see zone time for each team? Seems like the Caps have had like 13:00 minutes of time in NY's zone. Hell of a performance to this point. Need to keep it going.

That kind of incident occurs due to a deliberate coaching philosophy which says you focus relentlessly on reducing shots on goal by having your skaters block shots, and it's only about 10 years old.

It's easy to avoid blocking shots with your head. You keep your skate blades on the ice. At most, you block the occasional shot with your shin guards, but you don't dive into slapshots, whether parallel or perpendicular to the shooter. it's dangerous either way, and it's nuts to ask your stars to do it. This isn't about Boudreau; it's the whole league.

Other than that, the Caps look great today.

I hope so as well. He's played good to this point.
