Perry and the Gnome

Dear fellow preds fans,

On opening night I was blessed with the opportunity to have the bench seats. During this time, we had purchased a Predators garden gnome and set it facing the Anaheim bench. Now, as you can imagine it certainly got looks. Corry Perry in particular couldn't take his eyes off the garden gnome. Might I suggest we invest in a garden gnome or two and set them up in the bench seats so that the gnome can continue to haunt Mr. Corry "cheapshot" Perry?

This is the what transpired in the box...

Perry got so creeped out that when he got back to the bench, he took one look at the gnome and he slammed the door as hard as he could to try to knock the gnome off and then when that didn't work, he refused to sit there again for the entire game. He literally motioned for someone else on his line to sit there instead of him.

I think we should use this tactic to throw perry off his game. Cheers.

I was also in the box for that game, and I can confirm this. He also stared at it during warm-ups the whole time. Good stuff.

Get a gnome and a clown. If the gnome freaks him out imagine what a creepy looking clown would do to him.

This thread title is interesting because the Gnome is our nickname for Jason Blake.

We need to have them at their end during warm ups. That is a great story!

I want one, and I normally don't like garden gnomes.

Or you could get subliminal, print off pictures of the gnome, only slightly larger each time, each time he goes on for a shift, replace the picture with a slightly larger one without him seeing you change it out, so he just sees this gnome getting larger each time he looks at it.

Or make it bigger, then next time smaller, then even smaller, then bigger again...

It would be so sweet if someone could create a series of full page pictures of the gnome's face slowly morphing into Perry's face. He'd go from being freaked out by the gnome to being freaked out because he IS the gnome

This is the most hilarious thread EVER.

Can someone please dress up as the gnome for Game 4?!

Edit....it would be even more hilarious if whoever was dressed up as the Preds gnome could sit in the bench seats, or right behind the Ducks' bench....HA. I'm dying laughing just thinking about it. No emotion or eating or drinking allowed either...just sit there and stare at Cory Perry.

Hahahahaha this was an awesome read. I fully support the gnome, anything that creeps out the alien Perry is just genius.

If I do not see this happen in Game 4 I will be most disappointed.

I don't think they sell the bench seats for the playoffs. The media uses them.
That being said we had something even creepier than the gnome there tonight- Pierre McGuire

Very Important for Game 4

We have three days to convince our dasherboard sponsors to donate their dasherboard space for game 4 to Operation Gnome. Anyone got any pull with our sponsors?

Also, who has access to machinery to create about 30 three-foot-tall posters/stickers of the Predators garden Gnome with the words "We're watching you, Perry" on them?

On a related note, can any of you who can operate a sewing machine possibly create about 250 Predators Garden Gnome costumes? We need these for each and every person sitting on the glass.

Thanks.

OMG. This is the best thing ever. This. Must. Happen.

If any of these three things happen, it will be epic. If ALL three of these things happen, the hilarity will be completely out of control.

Seriously though, can we make this stuff happen?! Operation Gnome needs to mobilize the troops!!!
