POTG & GBR: ECQF Game 5 @ Washington Capitals
Player of the Game & The Good, The Bad, The Redden
The Rules What is the poll for?
You are voting for the player of the game - the one who put forth the most effort, who put the team on his shoulders, who contributed the most.
Do not vote for the player who had the best statistical game just because he had the best statistical game.
This does not mean you should not vote for the player of who had the best statistical game, but do not vote for him just because of that fact.
Who can I vote for?
You may vote for any player who dressed for the game and played at least one shift. If the player you want to vote for is not included in the poll, select "Other" and indicate in your post who you wish to vote for. In the case that I egregiously miss the player who everyone wants to vote for in the poll, I will count the votes in the thread.
What is this "The Good, The Bad, The Redden" nonsense?
It is my twist on the title of the famous spaghetti western movie, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly .
Since multiple players may have outstanding games and you can only vote for one player in the poll, this affords you the opportunity to recognize multiple players, or a facet of the team, for their commendable play ("The Good" ). This also affords you the opportunity to rip players, or a facet of the team, for their particularly substandard play ("The Bad" ). Finally, just as "The Player of the Game" affords you the opportunity to recognize the best, this affords you the opportunity to commend the crème de la crème of the worst, who delivered an atrocious performance, or whose singular (or multiple) bad plays directly led to the the detriment of the team ("The Redden" ).

POTG: Loffen and Wraparounds for the GDT and PGT all year
The Good: There's always next year
The Bad: Next year and the year after that and the year after that
The Redden: The off-season
Enjoyable year with a disappointing end.

This is the first time in a long time I can say i'm proud to bleed blue.
Disappointing end to a season that has my hopes for this team in the sky.
The day we ink Richards a contract is the day we become legitimate.
I'm glad I was able to come to the boards and actually have people to talk hockey with. Most of you are great. I hope we can keep eachother busy over the off-season.

No more McCabe, woohoo!
Gaborik's disappointing performance will provide for many exciting "should we trade Gaborik?" threads in the offseason. Thanks, Gabby!
But seriously, the fact that the Rangers even got this far with a dead Gaborik, no first line center, and no PPQB is pretty damn impressive. Now let's get some REAL talent in the offseason and unload some of the dead weight.

POTG - Lundy
Good - Top 4 D and Gilroy, Boyle, Feds, Avery, Prust battled hard, WW scored, stepan looked more involved
bad - seasons over, the PP
Redden - seasons over, the 'can you hear us' chant. Context is important...

How can some people complain about McCabe coming to the defense of Feds?
Erskine is their toughest player who just elbowed Feds. Good for McCabe.

Oh my god.
He annoys the **** out of me
Why does he have to say what college a player comes from anytime he talks about someone.

Exactly. As much as people want to get on Arty, or Dubi, or whoever for this season nobody with a brain should be able to deny that they've all grown and have taken big steps in their development.
A top line on this team and we're set.

Well this was a bad one. POTG goes to Hank.
Still a hell of a year though. Lot of ups and downs but we have a lot to look forward to in the future.
