The refs sent him back because of a wrong line change, they cant tell a player who they question has an injured knee to go back to the bench ! Hahahaha

I sense Wiz is hurt too since he's taking a therapy day and was missing on Saturday night.

Put Weber and Mara in the lineup? Play Weber with who was it before - Pyatt and Eller and then use him on the PP too. Put Mara in Wiz' spot - don't think Mara's played badly really.

It was the start of a new period, if JM wanted to put DD on he could have but that isn't what happened, he wanted to test it out and they didn't let him because of the ice conditions.

Yeah, no.

It was the start of OT and they refs wouldn't let him on because of the poor ice.

Sucks that he is hurt, but the reality is that the habs will never be a contender with 3 small centers.
Your and a million others preference for Mr. Blowmez will be stifling the Habs' dream for being a champion more than DD ever will.

?? When did I say I was a Gomez believer??

Methinks you project too much.

What I said was that I do not believe a team can succeed, and I mean get out of the East, with a line up of three non-physical centers. Whether it is Habs-era Ribeiro, Koivu, Plekanec, Gomez, DD etc....

Pick one small center, build appropriately around him. More than 1 is a blueprint to playoff failure. Durability is an imporant aspect of an 82 game regular season and a possible 28 game playoff season.

For the record, I think DD has good skill as a passer, and he is slowly getting acclimatized to the speed and intensity of the NHL. Besides the last game, he has been unable to control the puck as he carries it past the offensive blueline. Imagine, that is against the 3rd pairing of D from the opposing teams.

THis kid looked really solid for you guys. A fairly consistent difference-maker form what I watched. I liked that he won battles and pushed guys off the puck on top of being really fast. Sucks that he's hurt.

it wasn't the poor ice, it was because the team wasn't allowed anybody but their starting 5 on the ice.

I'm just stating what CBC said.

I've seen players go on the ice before the start of a period before, so I don't know. Maybe playoffs are different.
