Me too, I like sitting higher up because I feel it gives me a better vantage point of how plays are unfolding and what every player is doing on the ice... Sitting lower is more of an 'intimate' viewing experience but to me, the added cost is not worth the benefit.

Here were the pics I was able to take. Suck because they were from my BlackBerry but it was the best I could do.

Hard to see but workers working on the ceiling near gates C and D.

More box office construction...

Panels being removed from the exterior of the Garden.

Other side of lobby blocked off by wood (right side on the side of gates C and D to be specific.)

Glass windows installed on the outside of MSG. If you go to the transformation page and look through the pictures, this is where the first panels were being taken off when construction first started.

BTW: I'm pretty sure the bridge is designed with a glass enclosure.
There's gonna be seats on the bridge though. Last thing I'd want is to be enclosed in glass if I paid to sit up there.

The last photo is what I assume MSG will look like when it's done, with the glass panels being all around. I wish they'd leave the concrete panels up, very iconic.

I don't think it will be fully enclosed. I think there will just be a couple feet of glass so no one can fall or get thrown off.

In the end, I think its a compromise. That was the one major thing they needed to change to give MSG the feel of a newer and bigger arena. While I agree that the panels are iconic, MSG is just so dark and dank inside. As long as after the renovations are done, I still get that MSG aura, I'm fine with them removing the panels.

Sure hope they improve the lighting. Went to a game around Christmas, then to one in Newark and realized how crappy the MSG lighting is.

What they need to improve is the dark spots on the ice. I don't mind if it's dim to set up that Broadway effect but you can't have random dark spots on the ice.

Looks like some seats have been ripped out already. Assuming the tarps over the sections in the 300's are the ones that are gonna be in use next year too.

I noticed there's a new board/jumbotron up in the computer renderings:

http://www.msgtransformation.com/Transformation.aspx#

I wonder will that be up next year? Or is it one of the last things they do?

btw a lot of teams have this board. I like it.

The current one is too choppy.

Crazy to think that we'll never see the inside of the Garden look the same again.

I actually like the current MSG scoreboard. Very basic and gets the job done, just wish the video screen was bigger. Hope it isn't anything like the Prudential Center scoreboard where the time, score, etc is on one of those rings. Extremely tough to see from the upper deck...

Very crazy. Really didn't think about it much when I left after game 4.

A lot of scoreboards in the league were designed by Daktronics, including the one at the Garden. I think the scoreboard should be the last thing replaced because the technology does move very quickly on those.

http://www.daktronics.com

And after game 4 was over, I immediately told my brother, "Say goodbye to all that green and purple."

Don't worry, you won't be able to see the scoreboard, let alone read it, once the fan bridges are installed.

According to the renderings it does look like the Devils.

It just doesn't have the extra round of screens at the top like the Devils. I can do without that anyway.

In the link I gave, new board/jumbotron is "In Arena Bowl" section.

I like it because it's basically four huge HD screens. With a rotating out town scoreboard.

Everyone in the arena will be able to see it.
