Official 2010 NFL Thread (Let's talk about draft, baby) *Part 4*

This week on As the Ball Flies:

Can the Giants get over their terrible, horrible, pathetic loss to the rival Eagles? Or or will they just continue to flatline and fall out of the playoffs? Jets look decent again against a Polamaluless Pitt, but can they continue it? Do they still have "Super" aspirations and can they make life easier on themselves?

On the contrary, I think Big Ben moves faster than he looks. He looks so slow, but he's faster than the Manning brothers or that pretty boy from NE. He's the fastest big QB outside of Jamarcus Russell. I said Jamarcus Russell. ha!

Talking with quite a few non giant fans & almost all think the giants will come out really fired up, flying all over the field, & playing well.

I kinda think we'll b flat & struggle.

What do you giants fans here think?

As a Giants fan, I honestly think we'll come out flat and lose, but I'm definitely a pessismistic Giants fans, I called the loss at halftime, so I think we'll lose at GB and miss the playoffs. But like I said before, I'm a pessimistic Giants fan.

I'm with you.

I don't believe in motivational meetings (such as the one Eli had with the team) leading to much. I would love to be proven wrong and see them come out with fire. We shall see.

I think the defense comes out hard. They are a passionate bunch and can get themselves going. Tuck and Osi are going to have the D fired up.

Eli and the O....yikes.

Aaron Rodgers is cleared to play. Talent-wise, GB doesn't match up with us. They have 8 starters out with injuries, while we, essentially, have only Smith out. If offense holds on to the ball (Manning, Manningham), and Perry Fewell does what he usually does best and not lets his ego get in a way, and special teams are alert and wide awake (which they should be), Giants have a good chance of securing a playoff spot

I thought the same thing when the Jets played them. Obviously they matched up well with the pats to come close to beating them outside of a INT for a TD and an OL returning a KO to the 4 yard line. Not to mention, Matt Flynn played. Game in Green Bay, for a playoff spot essentially. If the Giants don't come out strong then there are more issues then just blowing that lead against the Eagles.

Well, the Pats already had their spot locked up and no one had ever seen Matt Flynn before. At least for the Giants, there is now tape on him at the pro level.

A lot of "if's" but I am still optimistic heading into this one.
