He played last night and I don't see him getting surgery right before game 7... also no Chicago sources reporting on this...

Well at least Kruger will be in now. Do they play Pisani, Dowell, or Lurch?

Sassone and Rogers are likely in the air.

Interviewed Bickell after Gm. 6 in lock. room and then saw him when he left. Maybe, something drastically changed overnight. No official word

Bickell suffered a cut early in the series and tried to play though. Guessing he feared more damage. No official word yet from #Blackhawks

Interesting that Kopecky made the trip. Maybe he's ready to play. Quenneville wouldn't say Monday morning. #blackhawks

Damn, at least he had one more goal left in Game 6. Wish him well for a speedy recovery.

Wonder who will replace him on that line?

In other words, Bickell played through severed tendons, had small window to play before further damage, surgery was planned.
Bickell scored two goals in two games with severed tendons in his wrist. Mad respect.

Bryan Bickell has wrist surgery Monday
By Adam L. Jahns on April 25, 2011 5:22 PM | No Comments | No TrackBacks
Winger Bryan Bickell underwent wrist surgery Monday to repair tendons that were cut by a skate in Game 2 of the Blackhawks' series against the Vancouver Canucks.

A source said that the surgery was planned and that there was a small window that allowed Bickell to play through the injury before risking further damage.

Bickell had been a big reason why the Hawks were able to rally out of their 3-0 series hole and force Game 7 Tuesday night in Vancouver.

Bickell sat out Game 3, but returned in Game 4 and became a force on Dave Bolland's new checking line with winger Michael Frolik. Bickell had two goals and an assist in the last three games.

It is uncertain how long Bickell will be out, a source said. But the length could be determined as soon as Monday night.

Tomas Kopecky (upper-body) has missed the last five games of the series, but did travel with the team to Vancouver.

Damn (but that's a beastly performance with the severed tendons)

Who moves to that line now? Honestly I'd put Smith on there and move Kopecky (if healthy) or Brouwer to the Sharp line.

Bad news, but Kopecky is a very adequate 3rd line replacement...really hope he can go.

This news makes me want to punch a stranger.

The only positive is that Bieksa will probably be distracted all Game 7 looking for him to get payback for last night's hit.

Given Kopecky/Hossa's chemistry it might be better to put Kopecky on 2nd line LW and move Smith to 3rd line if Kopecky is ready to go

Brouwer-Toews-Kane
Kopecky-Sharp-Hossa
Smith-Bolland-Frolik

Move Stalberg to 4th line

Those lines work better IMO

Why are people assuming Kopecky is going to play?

He's making the trip to Vancouver because if the team wins, they'll likely fly (the next day) to whomever their facing in the next round.

Stalberg-Toews-Kane
Smith-Sharp-Hossa
Brouwer-Bolland-Frolik
Dowell-Kruger-Johnson

That's what I'm expecting for next game, I don't think Scott will dress seeing as he hardly played.
