Habs Trivia Thread
Here's the first trivia question:
When the Habs won the Stanley Cup in 1986, Bob Gainey was their captain. Who were his three assistant-captains. I saw the picture at the Pierrefonds 4Glaces this morning.
As soon as someone has the right answer, feel free anyone to ask another Habs trivia question to keep the thread going.

3 Assistant captains? Larry Robinson and Mats Naslund were the only two assistants I think.
Next trivia question:
Which Canadien scored the last goal at the Montreal Forum?

You have the right answers as far as Mats and Larry are concerned. However, on the team picture with the Stanley Cup, a third player is also wearing an A on his jersey. His name is Mario Tremblay.

Mario Tremblay missed the '86 Playoffs because of a shoulder injury. Which ended his playing career at 30 years old. He was a decent player.

Also from the '86 Cup win. There were nine rookies on that team, can you name them?

The last game at the Old Forum was played in March 1996. I'll go with Vincent Damphousse.

Last goal scored at the Forum was by Vincent Damphousse vs. the Dallas Stars in a 4-2 win, or maybe it was 5-2...I remember it

Silly me, I forgot about Claude Lemieux and his back-hand over-time game winner in game 7 against hartford.
So, lets remove Corson, because I don't think he was a rookie.

I have 11 rookies in 1985-86:
Dahlin, Richer, Skrudland, Momesso, Lalor, Bucyk, Boisvert, Lemieux, Roy, Corson and Maley. I guess 2 of them didn't have their names on the cup. I'd say Momesso and Bucyk.

I`m pretty sure it was Andrei Kovalenko who scored the last goal in the Forum, i remberer when they had an auction, they sold his jersey for a lot of money because he was the last guy who scored (or maybe it was someone from the Stars). Anyway, i know that Kovalenko scored the last goal for the habs in the forum
