Looking at the GDT, Germany beat Russia 2-0.

Kings prospect Constatin Braun (I think he's one of ours, not positive), was listed on the 2nd pairing. I wonder how he did... Hopefully he schooled Kovi

He used to be one of ours, not anymore.

yeah...germany played really solid...like in all team sports...

Russians failed big. They just dont know how to play lesser teams, they always underestimate them.

...guess germany dont need Sturm (attack in german) in their lineup..looks they have plenty of it without him...

other tha that i was very impressed by russian youngster #91:TARASENKO Vladimir F, L, 6'0'' / 205 13 DEC 1991...

Ok, so far I've got:

Jack Johnson (USA)
Jonathan Bernier (Canada)
Michal Handzus (Slovakia)

Kevin Allen tweeted this:
Quote:
Atlanta defenseman Mark Stuart named captain of Team USA at the World Championships. Johnson, Komisarek, Brown. Gaustad are alternates.
Is that Dustin Brown that he's talking about? If so, the Kings media has done a horrible job covering who's going to the IIHF World Championships from our squad, just saying..

So, can you just say you did a horrible job of research by not even looking at the roster and jumping to a quick conclusion regarding media coverage?

I know you said "if so"...but you should have looked it up before you decided to weigh on it

I for one am shocked that AKAY didn't do basic research before posting . . very uncharacteristic of him

I don't know who was able to catch the game but Jack played really well. He led all players in ice time with 23:27, had a PP assist, and single handily blocked multiple shots to kill a 5-on-3 Austrian PP.

He is playing for his country now, so naturally he would turn into a reincarnation of Bobby Orr Maybe the Kings should change their logo to an American Flag...

Does anybody know what time zone the game times are listed on the IIHF site? Is it GMT or Slovakian time?

Norway won against Sweden 5-4 after shootout!!! Five of our best players didn't play (among them: Thoresen, MZA etc.)

Is Parise injured? Is that why he's not in the line up this year?

Just saw the replay of the 5-3 PP in the 2nd period. JJ had 4 blocked shots on the kill. He was awesome with really good reads moving between Austrian forwards.

Hahaha. Norway leads 2-0 against USA. Olimb and Bastiansen with the goals. I'm sure Bastiansen will join a NHL club this summer. He was the MVP in the Swedish Eliteseriens playoff.
