I went with Roche. i know the popular choice is Jonasen. He's very raw. He has size to be a power forward. I just feel that Roche has more talent.

If Jonasen doesnt at least get this slot, something is severely wrong!

Why are you getting upset by a fan poll?

Chad Wiseman should get this spot. Y does everyone think hes not capable of playing in the nhl? This guy had the most points in hartford didn't he? Thats good enough for me.

I wouldn't say that I was getting upset....just feel that maybe some people just go with the flow in these polls and they are passing on an obvious choice(in my eyes of course). But, thanks for the snide comment.....now I say good day!!

I usually just vote, but wow. I am as overly optimistic as the next guy, but I think some of the newly-drafted players are getting a bit over-hyped on this list.

I know there's some upside-ability that they have over a Jonasen/Guenin/Taylor/Wiseman, but Olver and Graham have a lot to prove to me before they are as certain as the above.

What was snide about my comment? It's very simple, why would a poll by people who mostly admit they haven't seen the majority of these players get you upset? Admittedly, your reaction wasn't as bad as some people who call people idiots, just because they don't agree with other people's opinions. Myself, I've repeatedly described my criteria for the poll as a balance of upside, stage of development and likelihood of reaching the NHL . And, to be honest, I think overall, there probably isn't much difference in terms of talent from possibly beyond #6 to where we are now.

The last time we did this, I voted for Jonasén really high, and when I did, someone mentioned Roche on the boards. So I looked him up. I've only read about Roche and seen his stats, but I'm intrigued by him.

I'd love to see both in a Rangers uniform.

I don't see how Roche is better than Greg Moore.

Again and I don't know why it was deleted the first time. Putting Moore on this list is insane. He isn't a legit NHL prospect. He's small, weak and mentally he can't cut it on the NHL level

Bahensky. There was a reason why he was pick #1 in CHL Import Draft.

I like what I read about the kid, but Jonasen is in the same boat only a year down the line. Plus, part of his #1 status was his willingness to commit to coming over. (Of course, that does play in the Rangers' favor.) I'm hoping he follows the path of Tyutin, Baranka and Jonasen before him, and successfully transitions to the NA game.

Voted Jonasen but meant to vote Wiseman. Though I like what I read about Jonasen, honestly don't know enough about him. Wiseman I saw play a few times in Hartford and I liked his style, grit, and willingness to go to the net which is something we've lacked for awhile.

Which Moore are you talking about, Dominick or Greg?

If its Dom, he is listed at 6'0 180lbs, plays an in the face type of game, forechecks great and is a decent playmaker who went to HARVARD.

If it is Greg, have you ever seen him play? Because he is listed at 6'1" 207 lbs (not small or weak) is another in your face, defensively responsible player who has quick hand, a good shot and loves to park himself just outside of the crease to score points.

So which one is small, weak and mentally can't cut it on the NHL level?

THANK YOU.

Olver over Jonasen? Grahame over Moore and Lampman? Helminen over Moore? Montoya over Lundqvist?

I cant wait till after next years draft when we see Montoya 10th, Grahame 30th and Olver 22nd.

:lol

I think we should do it that way - everyone accumulate a list of their top 25 prospects, e-mail it to the whomever agrees to tabulate the results and award points to each pick - 25 for #1, all the way down to 1 point for #25. I think you'd get a more accurate look at what this board feels about each prospect.

How about just take the 40 or so top prospects and rate their potential on scale of 1 to 10? Or rate their floor and ceiling or assign the probability percentage of them reaching their potential? Or something along these lines. I think rating these prospects, most of whom most of us never even saw play is really a crapshoot.

Jonasen has enough of a lead to close this. Moving along...
