Hopefully that's just too out there to be a serious jinx. But man is that hilarious.

Its to hilarious to be a jinx. I rank it right up there with 980 making Uncle Teddy the subject of one of their "Lunch with a Ledgend" shows, epic hilarity.

apparently it was painted last year, so it's jinx powers have hopefully been used up. Other wise I vote we get a bunch of people to chip in $20 each to have a public burning.

I think that Obama should use it as his official White House portrait. He is on there somewhere so I think it can be used without any problem.

Don't worry about jinxing, the Stanley Cup in the picture is clearly the replica Stanley Cup. Everyone knows that Bettman's evil twin (the taller dwarf) is instantly vaporized when he touches the real Stanley Cup.

How do you figure out if a practice is optional or not? Also does anyone have any tips on how to meet the players and get a picture with them if possible? I just got into Washington today for the first time, beautiful city.

Practices (and if they're optional or not) will usually be listed on CapsToday. If you want a picture I suggest either going to practice where they often sign autographs or stalking them to their home. Ovechkin's house is the one with the two older Russians outside yelling at him to do his chores, you can't miss it.

Do you have his address? haha

I just thought I would see if anyone has any experience in meeting them (I don't really care to get autographs but wouldn't mind getting a picture with a few of the players). So I guess best would be to just hang around once practice is finished?

No surprise. Atlanta's a terrible pro sports market, especially considering it's such a massive city.

So, hypothetically:

Winnipeg to the Northwest, Minnesota to the Central, and Nashville to the Southeast?

That does seem to make the most sense IMO. Either that or Columbus moves east with some possible realignment of the SE and Atlantic Divisions.

That would make sense and it would only make it tougher with Nashville.

I believe that has been refuted. Don't ask me where but someone posted something somewhere where even the Red Wings organization denied that is the case.

The only thing that argues against Nashville simply joining the SE is the Central time zone thing IMO.

The rumor has been around for awhile about Detroit. A Columbus reporter/writer, I believe it was Portzline, recently reported on Columbus expressing interesting in moving to the Eastern Conf. and in those updates stated that the League says there is no agreement with Detroit. Don't think I have read anything saying Detroit hasn't expressed interest or doesn't want to move but rather that there is not an agreement with the League about first dibs.
