The good thing about Asomugha is he's a guy who could easily move to safety when he gets older and thrive there.

Everyone hates Beckum but he can be a TE on passing downs if needed.

Most thought before free agency that Cofield was as good as gone, they prepared past two seasons by drafting 2nd round DTs.

Didnt think DeAngelo Williams was that strong of an option for the giants either, dont think they had the cash to bring him in.

I don't see Boss being a future star for the fact that he already has a lot of miles on him (taken a ton of big hits). Not to mention, that outside of Gonzalez, how many really good years do tight ends usually have?

Considering their cap situation I'd say they've done ok, but lots to do yet.

agree. Lets wait and see how this all ends up. Bradshaw, Kiwi, Smith, Boss, all still out there to be brought back.

I think overall, giants have stayed pretty much in neutral thus far.

I think in a good offense he can out up very good numbers for at least another 5 years.

How many tight ends have 8+ productive seasons?

Depends on how we are defining productive...

Games started? Blocking? Receiving?

There are actually a lot of them, but I dont think Boss will last that long, plays way too upright. Concussion issues will end his career early.

He does a terrific job covering TEs (has had a lot of success against Gates and Gonzalez), he's a great blitzing corner, he's big, he's very physical, and he played free safety in college. I also don't think he's anywhere close to being one of the worst tackling CBs.

Really need to have the young guys like Beatty, Koets, Petrus step up to the plate.

And now Kevin Boss says the giants DIDNT resign him yet. Lol. What joy

still gonna miss O'Hara n Seubert, but thats the game

hes in the top 10 worst tacklers per attempt for CBs and defenders.

He very rarely covers TEs unless they are lined up out wide. Last season he lined up at RCB 600+ snaps. Lined up on LCB ~40 times. Lined up in the slot, etc. only 75 snaps.

I do think Aso is the best CB in the league, but Im not so sure if he can transition to safety well, he has played nearly exclusively press man coverage on the raiders. Now you would be asking him to play a lot of zone coverage and do more in run support.

I played football my whole life but never seemed to get interest in the NFL. I don't mind watching college football but the NFL really hasn't gotten to me yet. This will be my first year watching so I need a team to follow, I'm leaning towards the Jets or Saints.

I realize he's had a handful of big hits but he's hardly washed up. His best years are ahead of him IMO

Agree to disagree

I'm more than happy to agree to disagree, but again, how many TE have the better years late in their career? Look at Mark Bavaro's numbers after he left the Giants.

Cmon Emma. I'm also a Rangers/Jets/Mets fan, so I understand the pessimism, but SOJ is dead and you know it! This is a great time to be a Jets fan, finally.

Panthers spending the cash with all the money they save with Cam, good for them. I wonder if Steve Smith stays with them.

as opposed to all those years past where they didnt win a SB either?

We will see if the Jets can finally manage to beat the patriots in the standings and win the division.

Maybe they should sign Bernard Pollard and let him injure a bunch of patriots.

Rex is 3-2 vs the Pats, and 1-0 in the playoffs, I think he knows what he is doing.
