haha I love Vancouver getting one whole day off after a 7 game series (that went OT). Hopefully Nashville takes them to 7 games too and they are absolutely exhausted by round 3 (and the Shark's beat Detroit of course).

The whining would be EPIC.

I am shocked that they didn't start Vancouver on Friday to give them an extra day to rest.

I haven't looked it up, but I think we did fine for the most part in afternoon games as far back as last year.

Seriously guys, let's stay classy on the main boards, even if Wings fan's cannot. The last series thread is a great example of what a classy group we are. Let's put our best foot forward even with the Wings fans.

And Ericsson and Kronwall are freaks of nature.

Getting back on topic, as probably everyone has already said, it depends on Nemo and to a lesser extent the 4th line. We go as far as they play. He plays like he normally does against Detroit, there is no reason why SJ should lose. If game 2,3,5 (of course it's not all his fault) Nemo shows up, SJ is in trouble. As for the 4th line, just have to limit mistakes and make sure to get the puck deep.

As long as he's healthy, I'd like to see Ben Eager play. Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

if he can keep his emotions in check, he can be a very effective 3/4th liner.

Apparently Ericsson is worth Pavelski and draft picks a few months ago.

here's hoping Boston and Pittsburgh win today, making for Washington vs Pittsburgh and Boston vs Philadelphia in the 2nd round for the East...with those 2 classic rivalries in front of them, NBC will forget all about Detroit vs some team out West

I'm surprised nobody has posted this on the main boards yet as a counterargument to that Kronwall on Clowe hit.

BTW: Was Eager benched or is he actually injured?
