Recchi, Thomas & Kaberle (and Ryder for a 4th)

Recchi I love ever since he was with the Habs. Gotta respect a guy who's still playing at his level at his age.

Thomas seems like he enjoys what he does so much, he just seems so happy sometimes that I can't hate him.

Kaberle I have to respect for the loyalty he gave the Leafs. Played for cheap, wanted to remain there for life even when they obviously wanted him out.

Ryder just seems like a very gentle and nice kind of guy.

title stipulates like/respect.. not love lol. i've been a habs fan all my life. win or lose, all those hard years, never jumped the wagon, so much heartache, so much excitement. that said, i love hockey, in general. its the greatest sport. period.

i've lived long enough and endured enough to say that i'm just completely tired of hate, in hockey, in life.

of course this is our team. we want to win, we want our guys to succeed and shine, and do well. however, you are only as good as your opponent. they make you better, they elevate your game.

lots of guys on boston that aggravate me. even the ones i like/respect. but like our best players, they do what they have to do to win. let's not be hypocritical. it is what it is. at the end of the day, we want it all, we want to win. but, it doesn't mean we have to sacrifice civility and respect for the game. we are better than that. that's what makes us canadiens.

1. Bergeron- complete warrior, wins faceoffs, can be a checking centre or scoring centre, plays the PK and PP, came back from a career ending injury, will always put his hand up to represent Canada whether it junior, world championships or olympics.

my list ends there.

If they're playing for the Bruins I have no time for them.

Only Thomas.

Guy obviously had to work very hard to get where he is, and he is just a genuinely nice guy.

I wouldn't say Thomas, nice story but he doesn't like P.K( Bruins board has a "new article" thread about it" but heres mine
1. Krejci -He's Czech and plays with Pleks.
2.Tuuka- he doesn'y do anything against us so how could you hate him(except his temper tantrums )
3.Bergeron- skill player that doesn't chirp( as much as Marchand, Lucic, etc.) and he's from Quebec

no specific order

Cool Thread.

Gotta say, I didn't see this coming from here.

And the responses, (I didn't read them all-but McQuaid gets more love here than our board,) a lot more respect here than shows up at the GDT's...(I'm sure that goes both ways).

For the record, I like Subban, Price and Wisnewski...take any/all from your team...

Cheers...

3 guys who I would love on my team anytime:

Thomas, Bergeron, Chara

Chara gets a bad rap, but every single one of you would love it if he was traded to our team.

Surprised to see McQuaid on so many lists.

He's from PEI so of course I know him

A guy I work with has a son who plays hockey. I think he's 12 or so. During the summer, McQuaid was on the ice before their practice started. His son and a couple of players went out on the ice with him and he took the time to stay and teach them some defense and give them advice.
That same co-worker's wife is friends with McQuaid's aunt and went with her to the ACC to see them play the Leafs. She met with some of the Bruins afterward and said that McQuaid is very shy and humble. She also had her pic taken with Chara and said he was the nicest one of them all. He took the time to speak to all the fans that were there.
I hate them with a passion on the ice, but most of them are very nice people
