not sure if this was mentioned earlier but here goes...
so i read over this article in the bleacher-report and basically the guy makes trade proposals and thinks they have a shot of happening, i personally don't really see eye to eye on most of them( im being polite)... as a devils fan i am particularly against the Parise trade, if you have the time you can read the article for yourselves:

its on the bleacher report but i cant post the article apparently, sorry i did not realize anyway! here they are

1) CGY: Shenn +
LA : Iginla

2) NYR: Richards
DAL: Gaborik...apparently DAL asked for Staal/Dubinski/Stepan earlier this year
( i dont see the point in this other then stopping other teams from offering)

3) OTT: Jiri Hulder, Justin Abdelkader, Jakub Kindl, and/or Brendan Smith.
DET: Alfredsson

4) PHO/WPG: Semin
WASH : Doan

5) NJD: Schneider
VAN: Parise

6) OTT: Gaborik
NYR: Spezza

7) COL: ???
TOR/BOS: Liles

8) COL: ???
TOR: Stastny

9) PHI: Evgeni Nabokov, Tomas Vokun, Jean-Sébastien Giguère.
( ???): Phili prospects

10) TOR: Malkin
PIT: Kessel + Kadri

be colorful if you like

I don't see Calgary, Phoenix, Ottawa, New Jersey, Ottawa again, and Pittsburgh letting their franchise players go.

L.A. isn't trading their top prospects for a couple years of Iginla.

Don't see Washington trading a young Semin for an aging Doan.

New Jersey deal is probably the most lopsided, if you added Kesler they MIGHT THINK about doing that one, but still doesn't look that great for N.J.

Philly could sign one of those goalies this offseason without giving up valuables.

Rangers say no to both deals.

Why would we deal Gaborik to DAL when we have a chance to sign him outright?

What's the point of acquiring a number one center in either scenario if we trade our top winger?

EDIT: For the rest of the trades, they all seem pretty horrible as well.

most of these trades look pretty bad.
Though I could see the first one making sense, obviously Calgary doesn't want to trade their franchise player but at the same time their team is aging and they have no top quality prospects. LA is looking to win now and Iginla playing for them gives them a chance to do so. Schenn could turn into Calgary's first line centre in a few years. If i were Calgary's GM i would do this

Most of these wouldn't work. Especially NJ-Van and Nyr-Ott

1) CGY: Shenn +

Yes if I am LA no if I am Calgary.

2) NYR: Richards
DAL: Gaborik...apparently DAL asked for Staal/Dubinski/Stepan earlier this year
( i dont see the point in this other then stopping other teams from offering)

Richards is UFA so this is redundant.

3) OTT: Jiri Hulder, Justin Abdelkader, Jakub Kindl, and/or Brendan Smith.
DET: Alfredsson

Ott no. Detroit - Would like to but how do they make it work in terms of $$$ and roster spots?

4) PHO/WPG: Semin
WASH : Doan

Semin is better now. Washington would really, really need to love Doan to do this.

5) NJD: Schneider
VAN: Parise

Parise is worth a ton more than that.

6) OTT: Gaborik
NYR: Spezza

No Ottawa is not trading Spezza for a guy who makes more money and has worse injury problems.

7) COL: ???
TOR/BOS: Liles

Not a blockbuster at all.

8) COL: ???
TOR: Stastny

No

9) PHI: Evgeni Nabokov, Tomas Vokun, Jean-Sébastien Giguère.
( ???): Phili prospects

No

10) TOR: Malkin
PIT: Kessel + Kadri

Seriously? Toronto could add 3 1st rounders and Pittsburgh says no. Not even remotely close.

Ottawa is a definite no for both. The Toronto - Pittsburgh deal isn't anywhere close either, Malkin is way more valuable than that.

These are all awful, and literally none of them are even plausible.

The NJ-VAN one is laughable. It's comical how fans won't give that proposal up.

It's going to take a hell of a lot of ???'s for Toronto to get Liles and Stastny, that's for sure.

lol NJD only MIGHT do it if Kesler is added?

Kesler had 41 goals this season and is now a 2 time selke nominee, possibly even a winner of the trophy and he plays center.

At the very least Kesler = Parise. Therefore Schneids being in there means the trade is lopsided for NJD and they would definitely do it. Not might.

That said, the trade as it stands is terrible along with all the other proposals.
