Nice try guys, it went off of halpern and in, ..we lose game 7 Ot on a deflection lol, story of my life
Did the best we could, pushed it as far as we could.... but we blew this one in game 4, that was the game that unraveled everything. up 3-1 and blowing it.
Next season looks PROMISING tho!!
they got nothing to be upset about, we were riddled with injuries
it would of been great to nab this one away from boston, but least they didnt sweep us!
I hope the bruins make it to the Finals. Carolina won the cup in 2006, tampa swept habs and won in 2004, go BRUINS! If we lose I want to have lost to the team thats going to go the Mile!
That has been my philosophy for twenty years, but I just can't cheer for what the Bruins stand for.
In the West- Go Nucks Go!
In the East- Go Tampa Go! (assuming they win tonight)
Seeing how we played, with Price playing so many games this season, I can't help but feel that this team with Markov, Gorges and Pacioretty in the line-up would be amazing.
Oh well! I would throw my TV through the window but what can you do? It's a miracle we got this far with what we have.
But now let's see if PG is capable of a tour de force by getting rid of Gomez and Spacek, take this 12M and build around the strong pieces of this team.
Proud of this team and so fricking excited for the future.
Hope Price continues to get better and mature because Subban and Eller brought their A game every single night. The way he has progressed this offseason, wouldn't mind him being our second line center next year.
Out of this series I come out with the Habs keeping up due to great Special teams while the Bruins were abysmal. All around good series to watch. Not quite the calibre of Vancouver-Chicago, but still entertaining.
Sigh. Too bad. I was just saying to Dad "look at everyone just standing there" and sure enough, late to a puck battle results in a lost puck, then it gets moved around and no one was quick enough to cover the point shot. Can't believe that got in from out there. Good run by the boys, but talent and execution were sorely lacking. Was pretty funny when the CBC idiots suggest we look for anything BUT PK's big shot on that final PP, and then he ends up tying the game with it, lol.
Gomez, Gionta, and Cammalleri all -3 in game 7... That Gomez line wasted a lot of pucks, and were completely unable to even slow down the resultant Bruins transition game coming back the other way. So frustrating to watch. Faceoffs... I know we suck at them, but the linesmen have to really cut it out with the drama and delaying.
for some reason I'm not really mad. I guess I must be proud of my team
ditto.
despite all our shortcomings, injuries, walking wounded, past prime players, we literally took it to the end. halpern tried to block it but instead deflected off of him for the elimination goal. kudos for trying. thems the breaks.
again, we've defied odds and showed alot of heart and character. to next year, we have alot of strong points to build upon. also, as we move forward, we'll have to shed some weak points in order to advance.
it hurts, but I'm very proud of this group. Can't wait to see us healthy and with a younger D next year. Up front we don't need many changes. If our D gets more solid and mobile, we can move forward with the same forwards if they choose to.
A lot of positives when you consider what the team went through this season, and next year when everyone is healthy, things will be better. Thanks for the run, Habs! Go Habs Go!
The boys did everything they could. It was a helluva series. A bounce here or there and the Habs easily could have won. I learned one thing, though. Karma is a fiction.
Very entertaining series, sadly the injuries over the season were too much for them. I don't think they would have had any gas to beat the Caps. Future looks bright though, keep your heads up high Habs fans, we were suppose to lose in 3 games to the Bruins and took them to game 7 overtime.
