it looked to me like halpern skated into ferrence. He was looking in his direction, turned away, and somehow expected him to no longer be there. He skated into his shoulder all by himself.

"Much better"? Please. Montreal was the better team coming into the series and the better team during. Boston has been tremendously overrated all year.

I mean, just look at that D past Chara. It's grim.

But they rode the percentages and looked like a world-beater. They are not. They aren't a Cup Contender either.

And the fact that they were built up to be one when they weren't almost cost Claude Julien his job.

It makes me an ******* to say this, but I just don't want to read Bruins fans coming here to 'congratulate us on a good series'. Let us mourn without that garbage.

Habs fans: you gave us a hell of a series. I can imagine how heartbroken you'd feel right now after battling back like you did today (and Subban's goal: that was the most wicked shot I've seen all season). The B's barely squeaked this one out, and we still haven't exorcised our biggest bad playoff curse.

So, amidst all the loathing (in which we've all reveled)....much respect...or as they say, "chapeau!!"

The team gave it their all with what was left of the roster.

3OT losses are tough to swallow, especially this one which goes off your own player.

But there's nothing to hang your head about.

Look forward to next year with a healthy markov and gorges. It can only be a good sign that the team did what they did without 2 of their most important d-men.... not to mention an emerging power forward.

Hopefully eller continues where he left off today...

There's lots to look forward to.

As far as the next series is concerned....Philly all the way. Nods to the Bruins. But go Philly.

Disappointed , but maybe now the team can make a couple adjustments that we needed. I still can't believe how Boston management snagged Horton from Florida, I only wish our beloved management team could be as aggressive.

Apologies if I offend, I would say that if it was Chiarelli and the Bruins had just lost.
if you are not sure you will offend or not, then why come here and gloat?

they had to trade their second best defenceman. Would you have traded Wiz for somebody like Andrei Kostitsyn?

If your team takes you to 7 games and loses in ot, how can you complain? If your team takes you there and has been decimated by injuries and still takes you there, then I would say rejoice with the heart of the franchise we all cheer for!!!

Great Great serie, very entertaining and I'm proud of the Habs, they have heart and did everything they could. They could have won this serie even if they matchup wasn't ideal. Playoff hockey is so great. Anyway I'm going in Europe for a month, so I wouldn't be able to watch them advance, but I'm still disapoint.

This team is clutch and I really like them !

Philly is a significantly better club than Boston. They should win, but it's hockey, so who knows.

Yep, let the disrespecting begin. Now I have no problem if Richards wants to get his elbows up.

This hurts gents. I know every team has their fair share of injuries but the fact Gauthier had to spend the year plugging holes instead of building this team up for the playoffs speaks wonders for our performance in them. We had the Bruins on the ropes, our coaching was damn near impeccable ( Couldn't adjust to cover the forward sliding into the high slot, Jacques?), but we were simply outskilled and outsized in some occasions which made it harder than it should have been.

This team should take this time to reflect on all the things they did right, come back with full troops next season and take another run at this. The positives outweigh the negatives. They're a better team than the team that showed up for the playoffs and they still came oh-so-close.

Yeah, I think a 6''2 guy who can score goals would have helped. I wonder who...

Meanwhile the Pittsburgh First Rounders lost their series. Tanking time for them to get more 1st round picks?

Proud of losing?

I'm sorry to sound harsh, but I can't stand how people are saying they are proud that this team made it this far, pushed it to Game 7, pushed it to OT.

- Habs were leading the series 2-0, and were coming home
- Habs were leading the series 2-1, and leading game 4 with a score 3-1, before blowing their lead and losing the game
- Habs lost the series to a team that has not scored 1 PP goal the entire series
- Habs lost to their ultimate ARCH RIVAL ENEMIES, the BRUINS

No, I am not proud of how this team performed in this year's playoffs. Why should I? They lost. Not only did they lose, but you could argue that they choked, that they really blew it.

Now everybody is going to say: Boston was supposed to sweep us or win easily. Why? What is the reasoning behind that logic? We won the season series 4-2

Yeah its great they came back when down 3-2 in the series to force a Game 7 in OT. But we shouldn't be proud of losing in the 1st round under all those circumstances

Signed

A very sad and mad Habs fan

He's had his chances to step up and failed at every turn. Time for him to move on again.

I actually think AK needs to be with a big center who works hard. You know someone like Eller.
