lineup should look similar to our game 7 against buffalo. carter hopes to be back at some point in the series but he's doubtful for game 1, i believe the same goes for nodl but there hasn't been an update on him recently.

So it's Division winner vs Division winner, these teams are prety similar as the regular season stats show. Obviously a difference in goal, so saying we need Boosh to be steady is an understatement...

Flyers 106pts
Bruins 103pts

Flyers scored 259, gave up 223, +36
Bruins scored 246, gave up 195, +51

Flyers had 10 forwards in double digit goals, 7 with 20+
Bruins had 12 forwards in double digit goals, 4 with 20+

Flyers D had 24 goals
Bruins D had 39 goals

Flyers home record 22-12-7
Bruins home record 22-13-6

Flyers road record 25-11-5 55pts
Bruins road record 24-12-5 53pts

Flyers PP scored 49goals at 16.6%
Bruins PP scored 43goals at 16.2%

Flyers PK let in 54goals at 82.7% kill
Bruins PK let in 46goals at 82.6% kill

Flyers team save .913%
Bruins team save .930%

If anyone watched the Boston -- Montreal series easy to see Boston isn't that good. Flyers should win this one but seriously folks -- get a goalie.

You might not need him against Boston but you will against Washington or Tampa.

Try this, it could undergo slight adjustments over the next couple of days. If seven d-men are used, the line combos will fluctuate.

FLYERS' POSSIBLE LINEUP:
Forwards:
Left WingCenter Right Wing
19 - Scott Hartnell48 - Danny Briere 22 - Ville Leino
21 - James van Riemsdyk28 - Claude Giroux 36 - Darroll Powe
93 - Nikolay Zherdev 18 - Mike Richards 10 - Kris Versteeg
13 - Dan Carcillo 11 - Blair Betts (seven d-men)

Defense:
Pairing Pairing
20 - Chris Pronger 25 - Matt Carle
44 - Kimmo Timonen 5 - Braydon Coburn
41 - Andrej Meszaros 6 - Sean O'Donnell
26 - Danny Syvret

Goalies:
(Brian Boucher is the expected starter)
Goalie Goalie Goalie
35 - Sergei Bobrovsky 33 - Brian Boucher 49 - Michael Leighton

FLYERS' INJURIES, SCRATCHES, MISC.:
PlayerReason Status
Oskars Bartulis left shoulder surgery out 10-to-12 weeks from Feb. 24
Nick Boynton healthy expected to be scratched
Jeff Carter right knee doubtful
Ian Laperriere post-concussion syndrome LTIR

Haven't we just been mixing and matching 8 guys for the top 3 lines? I don't think Powe should be slotted where you put him.

There'll be a clearer indication following the next practice or two for this series.

Nodl isn't practicing again today, nor is Carter.

Flyers in 6 or 7. This one will be another tough one. Wouldn't have it any other way.

was hoping to see Backlund in the 3rd slot instead of Leighton for the goalies.

What kind of Hab fan are you? It's a matter of public record that Club 281 is where they finally tracked down ol' Reggie right before they gave them the GM gig.

Habs fan here. To be honest, I don't like the Flyers but nothing near as much as I hate the Bruins. So please beat them.

Oh and knock the snot out of Marchand please.

Did anyone notice the right side of Ryan Miller's face is like a centimeter lower than the other?

FAIL!
Listen, Bs or Habs - I could care less for either one of them, but if anyone needs the snot knocked out of him - that would be PK Subban - mouthy rook!

Anyways - my observations of the Bs (watched game 5 and 7 in person at the Garden)
1. They are slow
2. Creativity is non-existent on offense
3. McQuad and Boychuk - are defensive liabilities.
4. Even IF Lucic and Krejchi show up - that still only gives them two lines that can do something.
5. They give WAY too much freedom to the opposing team in the neutral zone - that will allow Flyers skilled guys to operate at high speeds (Flyers FINALLY shut down the neutral zone in Game 7 - lets hope that that will continue)

I have the Flyers in 5. Don't care about the goaltending - theirs is better - our forwards are better. PP and PK - if we play at top speed at all times - we will dominate.

There is a reason why I really liked the Bs advancing - they were "beat up" by the refs for no reason just like the Flyers were. May, just may be - we will have a shot at a balanced and fair refereeing of the series (I know, I know - pipedream, but still - I think with Habs, TB or ##itsburgh we would have had much less of a chance at that).

I can't start hating him. Just can't - class-act, great player, hard-worker!
Chara, Lucic, Ference - easy targets. Not Rex!

That's a lot of people. Look closely, you'll ruin a lot of the people you enjoy looking at.

I know people in general aren't very symmetric, but Miller's something else.
