The "Gold Rush" in Nashville looks cool. It must be nice to be a fan of a team still in a playoff series. Good for Nashville fans, they deserve it.

Don't look now, but the great coaches of Babcock and Laviolette are both about to get swept as well.

Are they about to become history as the first 1 seed to be swept in the 1st or 2nd round in this era?

That wasn't even an accurate tweet, not that it matters. I think the Caps were a better team, but they finished 4 points ahead of Tampa in the Standings. If you want to crucify Bruce for that, be my guest.

At least we aren't the only choking dogs in the NHL.

So the sole defense for Boudreau is regular season success? Trying to mitigate another epic playoff failure is getting tiring.

losing four straight games by average scores of 5-1.75 sounds like a chokejob to me. trying not to rub in it my flyer fan facebook friends' faces. ...failing. alliterative allure too strong.

Surprised how one sided Flyers - Bruins series was. I wonder if Boston's size, physicality and TT will be enough to overcome Tampa's "beehive" mentality, MSL's resilience, Stamkos and Lecavalier. Should be a good series.

Strangely enough this years defeat doesn't hurt as much, i guess, as a Capitals fan one has to develop a thicker skin.
Also, i notised this year i enjoy watching post "once-again-early-exit-of-the-Caps" games much more than last few years, i think watching Capitals in PO's was to emotionally taxing and and unnerving... now i just watch and enjoy hockey... strangely unbiased... and for me its weird...

P.S check out a snakehead i caught in one little canal near Ft. Lauderdale (in my advitar).

I don't know, man. It stings quite a bit to me having to watch a team do pretty much what the Caps have done (sell everything and drop from playoff contention, then get pretty darn good again) sweep us the first year that they're a complete team after the rebuild in order to get further than we have in four years.

I'll get over it as soon as the Cup is decided, unless TB wins it. It'll stick in my craw the entirety of the off-season and next season then.

And I've got pretty tough skin as a Skins, Wizards, Orioles/Nats fan.

^Agreed with everything Bunindza wrote sans the Orioles inclusion.

Also, fantastic catch Vlad!

for me its a different question. should boudreau be canned and laviolette get cut as well, there will be a line here formed to get laviolette. lavy who has as much overall skill as the caps, the gritty forwards caps fans want, the mobile banger defensemen the caps want aswell.

yet it appears his coaching brilliance has worn off in philadelphia in less than a year, if you count this slide starting in the second half of this season when they started working their way back to the pack.

I believe that is another one of your generalizations from one poster. Have you've seen the names that people here are suggesting? Lavy is rarely one of those names thrown out.

Thank you.

Cut his head off, gutted it, scaled it... aluminum foil, olive oil, salt pepper... from water to the grill in less then 15 min... my wife thought i am out of my mind for eating it...

Tasted like firmer, sweeter flounder.

I would offer a Jon Gruden-to-Tampa esque trade package to the Preds for Trotz. Just look at what he's getting out of that rather awful group of forwards. Non-stop effort, hitting, forechecking. And when you work that hard, you tend to get the lucky bounces, too.

Red Wings may lose, but they know how to fight back

something the Caps could learn. Down 3-0, the wings have had 2 big games and fought back up to this point and made it a respectable 3-2. Hopefully some of the Caps are watching and maybe learn something about fighting back when being down.

Okay? You seem to be pretending that the Caps didn't have a viable chance to win any of the games they lost.
