that's a good read...Kuvaev has really droped his stock for the upcoming draft...if he gets picked - very low, most likely he'll come back to the KHL sooner than later.

Great article, Alessandro, as always. You are the best source of information about Russian hockey in general, and particularly new talent on the horizon, waiting to emerge. The Grigorenko-Kucherov-Yakupov line was brilliant, arguably the best in the tournament!
Thanks for reading!
CSKA, I doubt he can crack a KHL lineup right now
nope, not with the set of tools he has displayed at the WJC, that's why I said: sooner or later. I read an interview with him somewhere, where he claimed that he has offers from KHL organizations already
Bogdan Yakimov can someone give a little bit of insight onto this player. Youngest player on the Russian U-18 team and seems to be just as big as he was on tv at 6'4. What can we expect from this player, 2013 draft eligible has he got what it takes to be a first rounder? To make the U-18 team at 16 is quiet remarkable. I hope this kid turns out to be a stud!
shocker that Rumyantev's job was deemed acceptable...I would just ask him - why were Ivanuzhenkov, Vorshev and Sabinin on the team and Prokhorenkov wasn't. The answer to this question would immediately have him fired.
Haha, yes - Ivanyuzhenkov. I specifically watched him embarrass himself throughout the tournament. I think he would be lost in my Friday league .
I remember, I think it was Gimaev, saying "WHY is the player just standing looking at the puck, why not help his teammate?" Atleast he got fairly drafted by Lev, gotta spread the talent around

fairly? How come there are so many Russians in the organization? I don't think it was a fairly drafted player, I even read someone's report hinting that Lev wanted to appease some people by drafting him.

Wouldn't be surprising, he is a Vityaz product, I'm sure it was only them offering him a contract.
Another one to add to that list is Kosov from Metallurg- he really impressed me in the Kharlamov cup playoffs. If Russia actually put that roster out for U18- I'm pretty sure they would've destroyed a lot of the teams, and I'm not the one to gloat about that stuff.
Ivanyuzhenkov is on a 1 way ticket to learning that even power and money can't buy a way into professional hockey, I even wonder why he is bothering. Perhaps a good example for other copy cats.
just 'cause he scored 1 goal? I mean really: Prokhorkin, Shmelev, Kamaev are not worthy and he is?
did i sayed that Prokhorkin,.... werent good enough to play for team Russia( most definitely they deserved to be in team more than ivanyushenkov) but Ivanyushenkov was better than some other players you havnt mentioned as moneybags.

I don't know all the money bags: Vorshin, Sobyanin, Ivanyuzhenkov, mb Vasilevskiy (on D) who else?

Well... professional hockey is not only played in NHL or KHL... Of course he had no business in Russia's U18 team but he could still, in future, be a 3rd liner in most of KHL clubs... Or to be a star in VHL...
