Sorry but I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with families and everything to do with ratings in the eastern part of Canada.

Ya, I agree. Hence my first paragraph. The second paragraph simply mentions some possible fallout as a result of the decisions made with respect to the first paragraph.

Both teams have momentum. Too bad they'll both have to bore it up to win the round. Unless Rinne craps the bed again.

keys imo:

VAN- can Luongo step his game up? can the big guns get it done up front?

NAS- can Rinne and the defense contain the high powered VAN offense? which offense shows up, round 1 or regular season?

favorites gotta be VAN

Why doesn't Nashville split up Weber/Suter? They could have at least one of them on for about 90% of the game.

I expect a much better effort from the Preds in game two. Seems like the layoff hurt them a bit. Like I said at the start of the series, first goals will be bigger than normal in this series. Score first and you'll probably win.

It's hard to imagine the Preds looking worse than they did tonight so the Canucks better be ready for game 2 and not try to coast.

Rinne was terrific, mad respect to him. Luongo had a very good game in the 3rd that turns into great if he actually did get a piece of that Weber shot.

Rinne was like an event horizon that pucks just kept disappearing into. Even the one that went in hit his pad first. Canucks need a LOT more traffic on him going forward. If he sees it, he's gonna stop it.

As for the rest of the team...did Nashville think the game started at 7:30? Yeesh. I hope the 'nucks don't think it's going to be like that every game.

We have to burry more of the shots if we want to win games, there seemed tobe only one team on the ice for the first two peroids.

Lack of finish is becoming a concern in these playoffs. It has been since game 1 against Chicago. The Canucks are generating good offensive pressure, but they're simply not putting teams away. The powerplay in particular is complicit here...it's way down from its regular season production.

It would good for Roberto, mentally and physically, if the guys would give him more than a 1 goal lead to work with for a game here and there. Particularly disturbing is the fact they started hotdogging and setting up razzle-dazzle passing plays as the game wore on instead of bearing down and driving the net.

Preds clearly need to be a lot better if they don't want to get swept, but the Canucks better clean their game up as well if they want to keep winning. I think I like this team better when they're scared vs when they're confident.

I think the Preds will win game 2. They'll be pumped up to play after that debacle and i think the Canucks might lay off a bit.

Well that game was f***ing boring.

Fischer and Weber are gonna be huge and Geoffreon is a good 3rd line center guy.

I expect a crazy Preds effort next game.

I like Kesler, Raymond, Hamhuis and Bieksa the most. I hope Aaron Rome gets pneumonia and Chris Tanev gets sent up or Salo/Alberts get better. I hate Aaron Rome. I wish he were a Calgary Flame or Maple Leaf. Yeah. I wish he were paired with Phanuef hahha could you imagine that dazzling pair?

Don't make testicle jokes! This is one of the reason's why your fanbase on this forum is generally disliked, don't feed the stereotypes.
