SALARY CAP $62,200,000
CAP PAYROLL $57,887,500
BONUSES $1,487,500
CAP SPACE $5,800,000

My own Capgeek roster. 5.8 Mil cap space, minus Drury and Wolski buyouts ( about 4.2mil combined ) leaves you with 1.6 mil in cap space. it works. i like it a lot.

If Wisniewski is such a talent, why has he been on 3 teams in the last 4 years? Pass.

He had 51 points last year, 21 with the freaking Islanders dude. Chicago wasn't the team they are now when he was with them. Then he had one year with Anaheim. When given a good team, he is a good player. He was amazing with Montreal.

OK......word is that he was a problem in Anaheim who, despite being in need of D-men, let him walk.

He made 3.25 Mil this year, he had 51 points, guy is gonna want a raise, no doubt. 4.5 isn't that much if it is a one or two year deal, which is what i would expect. it's a good deal for both parties

What is your point? he had 51 points last year, he's a good player that we, the power playless Rangers, could definitely use. Imagine him and Richards commanding the point on the PP together. that is beautiful

It's not. Wiz is probably looking to cash in on a longterm deal. After a year he just had I dont see why he would sign a 1year/4.5 mill or 2 year/9 mill deals unless there's no market for him which I doubt. He'll be looking for a 4 or 5 year deal.

That's a good point, but you never know, hopefully we get him and it's a good deal

We don't have 4.5 in cap space laying around for a third pairing dman especiay when we have del zotto poised to make a comeback.

Based on my roster, we clearly do have 4.5 in cap space laying around for him. and he is also a PP d man, not only a 3rd pairing d man. look at my roster, i included DZ, DZ would be playing with Wisniewski based on my proposal

We have any number of threads for this. Most notably the salary cap thread as well as offseason threads. I know its the offseason and modding can be light but lets not fill up the board with 100 new threads every day about the same basic stuff.
