It'd be nice if he came to Tampa to play on the 2nd or 3rd line.

Come on Mario...make the call! MAKE THE CALL!

Soooo much unfinished business here...can't leave the way he did...he needs to come back for 1 year (maybe more but 1 yr to begin) for cheap.

The only thing that worries me is...he likes to be the center of attention...with Crosby here...that could be a worry. It would have to depend on how much he wants to play to play and go for a cup.

I mean...come on:

Kunitz - Crosby - RW
Neal - Malkin - Jagr
Cooke - Staal - Kennedy
Rupp - Letestu - Adams

on top of the d-core and MAF...how could they NOT be Cup favorite. He'd basically be the replacement for Dupuis or Talbot money wise...then with the cap going up, go after a UFA like Leino...omg...

Kunitz - Crosby - Leino
Neal - Malkin - Jagr
Cooke - Staal - Kennedy

Mother of god...

It would make my day if Buffalo signed him.

We go through this every year. But I must say, if he came back, I believe it would be with Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh only. There have always been the rumors that "If Mario called him" and "He owes it to Mario" thing. I would definitely take him on a 1 year deal with the Penguins.

I clearly remember him saying that IF he does go back to the NHL it would be with the Oilers

Habs probably get alright out of him but nothing outragerous. Around 22 goals 50 points. But for 2 million be alright.

He is reported to sign a 1 year extension with Omsk, so it won't happen.

Jaromir Jagr is expected to sign a 1 year extension with Avangard Omsk of the #KHL, according to Avangard's GM (via SovSport).

I actually don't think he will . I mean i would like it but i would't give him something like 8 million dollars for 10 years for him let's say

Maybe you guys could and you could put him in the minors when he isn't good anymore.

No need, i know who they are. Hockey is a business. If you don't perform up to standards at your business you are fired. However, in the case of hockey, with guaranteed contracts, that simply means you are sent to the minors.

Are you really arguing who is the classier organization? Come on man, grow up.

Obviously it is the Canadiens. They don't dump there mistakes in the Minors like NYR do.

I'd rather be part of a fan base that doesn't riot and call 9-1-1 everytime one of their players takes a legal hit and gets hurt

I was under the impression he re-upped in the KHL. I'd love to see him retire a Pen, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hmm dude, i raise my hat to New York for acknowledging that they made mistakes and accepting the fact that they were better without then with Redden at 6.5 mil. Just like us who next year we are better with Eller or Desharnais on the 2nd line then a 7.3 mil Gomez who's sucking all our cap space with him to get help.

As for you, stop while you're ahead, there's simply too many Habs fans for yopu to think you could win the argument.

Now, as for Jagr, i think he could do wonders with the Habs as a 3rd line, pp specialist player playing alongside young and fast players like Desharnais and Eller.

There are no reports anywhere that Jagr resigned with Omsk in the KHL. There are links though that Jagr has said that Montreal, Detroit, New York and Pittsburgh are on list of possible teams he would be interested in if he returns.

http://www.cjad.com/Blog/HabsNews/bl...tryID=10233293

The article also says that Jagr is in the best shape he's been in the last 5 years, those 5 years include the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons in which he scored 123 and 96 Pts respectively.
