Learning Photoshop/CPU graphics etc.

I would love to learn how to make all the killer graphics and photoshops that I see on the boards. Im not too computer savy (Im lucky if I can upload a pic or video here...).

So any recommendations on easy to learn introductory software, even classes out there that could teach me this stuff. Im completly jealious on the quality of work you all do here

Photoshop if you can afford it or acquire it.... GIMP is like photoshop but free...

For whichever software, you can learn most stuff from youtube.

I tend to point people to trying out Adobe Elements before they step up to PS. It is limited compared to what PS can do, but it still can animate and edit pics just fine. I haven't tried GIMP but it looks pretty cool.

But yeah, like breakaway11 said, you can watch/read a lot of tutorials on the web. There are also PSD files that go along with many tutorials so you can have the chance to pick them apart. I was lucky enough to learn from co-workers while still using the tutorials to supplement my edumacation
