I find it kind of funny you'd watch movies like these, who's even original movies were awful...and these are the third in the series, generally the worst. But then you pan the Hobbit movies? Did you just dislike LOTR? I can see adding it if you disliked LOTR I suppose, but there's not really any other reason.

Oops, didn't mean to put either 28 Months Later or Jeepers Creepers Definitely don't plan on watching those. Harold and Kumar is hilarious though.

But yes, I disliked Lord of the Rings. The whole epic middle-earth stuff does nothing for me, I find it very boring.

Yeah, I know a lot won't be made though they've been "announced",quite a few won't make it off the drawing board. I'll add these ones to the list.

I will probably see

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (kind of have to after having to go see all the other ones)

The Hangover Part II (Really not too interested, but I know I'll end up seeing it with friends)

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (I enjoyed the first one, will give the sequel a shot)

Indiana Jones 5 (Okay, Crystal Skulls or w/e it was called was beyond terrible, but I will still see an Indiana Jones movie that coms out, most likely)

Bond 23 (Kind of a tradition to see every Bond movie with my dad)

Independence Day 2 (Kind of ridiculous to make a sequel, but loved ID so of course I will check out the sequel)

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall (Kick Ass was just a bad-ass movie)

Sin City 2 (Enjoyed Sin City 1, cool movie)

Bourne Legacy (Enjoyed every Bourne movie, great action)

The Dark Knight Rises (Who isn't going to see this?)

Not exactly excited for any of these, but I will most likely watch them.

Some of these projects have been confirmed dead or speculated as dead

28 Months Later - Rights are owned by people who have killed 3rd film ideas
Nightmare on Elm St 2 - Shelved after the remake didn't perform at expected levels

28 Days/Weeks later were awesome movies. Nothing wrong with another sequel.

Unless you're of the group that feels that a bad sequel ruins the series...

Spiderman 3 completely ruined the entire series. That's an example.

Having disliked Spiderman 3 as much as I did, my views on Spiderman 2 have not changed. It's still a great movie. Nothing about it changed in my estimation.

This "a bad sequel ruins good movies that came before" logic never made any sense to me whatsoever.

A Total Recall remake could be very interesting.

Another Harold and Kumar? Really? You can't top the 2nd one.

MIB 3 is going to be epically bad. They ****ed with the script so many times it's not even funny.

And I realize that some/most of these won't get off the drawing board...but ID4 2 AND 3? How many years after ID4 was made? How would you even go about that in terms of a storyline?

Creepshow needs a remake?

i mean, i like that movie, but its not remake worthy at all, imo.

Halloween 3? what's the point? that movie was terrible when it first came out and had nothing to do with Michael Myers at all.

While there are currently no immediate plans to make the sequel, it isn't because it "didn't perform at expected levels."

It grossed (worldwide) over $115,500,000 at the box office.

Indeed. The definition almost, of a "smash" in theaters is a movie that triples it's budget. This movie cost 30 million, and damn near tripled it. Not counting the dvd sales/rentals/ppv/netflix etc. The movie did damn well, probably better than they could have hoped actually.

I for one am most excited about Ice Age. The last one was amazing...no sarcasm.

I didn't even know they were continuing the series till I saw your post but glad they are.

According to wikipedia the third Ice Age was the 15th highest grossing movie world wide ALL TIME. That's amazing.

Also that they've been able to maintain the quality throughout like the Toy Story's. Unlike Shrek which I thought got progressively worse with the most recent one an utter collapse.
