Just one of the worst periods of Ovi's year, if not career. Stupidity from beginning to end. And the coach keeps putting him at the point.

Mind explaining that because I just saw the Caps own ES. There is some hope in the 2nd PP unit, and Ovie needs to be moved off the point. Gave up a goal to a good PP unit, but it was late into it.

Here's the deal:

Their PP is near unstoppable. Their killed the Pens' PK, which was ranked #1 in the regular season.

They're gonna do the same to ours, its already started.

We're not a very disciplined team, especially on the road. Look at the series against NY, gave up a lot of PP opportunities to them.

Add to the fact that we have a very hard time figuring out goalies in the playoffs under Bruce, I really wanna hear why people think we will win this series. I'm all ears.

at least he called him out on national tv and took him off the PP for a bit. But then he put him right back out there to fail again. I think more of BB this year than I did last. But that's not saying much. I really have to wonder if this group will ever learn.

Second period will show us if this team has truly learned from past failures.

Same old story. Carry the play until the special teams starts. Proceed to suck eggs on the PP before getting waxed on the PK. Tampa's up, they'll sit back, Caps will struggle to break the zone and will hustle less. Game over.

This'll be a short series, folks. Might steal one in Tampa if they ease up a little and Roloson stops stoning everything, but they'll only disappoint the faithful in home ice in game 5.

Disappointing but not altogether shocking. GL Sharks - if the Caps can't step up, at least make me some money.

The lack of organization, discipline and composure is, once again, a result of their blustery HC.

Backstrom and Ovechkin=terrible.

Outclassed by a club with strong leadership at the "C", Coach, and GM.

Series. Over.

I don't care who they play, if Tampa can sustain this historic level of specialty teams dominance, they're winning the Cup. They are in some kind of zone right now. Great recipe for a run by them.

The Caps sure don't look like anything special.

But no negative energy rants from me right now. It doesn't do any good. Positive vibes only.

They're awake. Not like the 3rd period of last game. But they simply aren't playing good hockey. No traffic, lack of shots, stand watching on the PK. The Lightning aren't even playing all that well, but they convert their chances at an alarmingly better rate than the Caps. If the Bolts create more chances, the Caps will get swept.

Tampa Bay isn't winning the Cup and you can take that to the bank.

Their "dominance" has more to do with the ineptitude of the opposing team's PPs.

Yes, it does. He's way to predictable in the offensive zone. He needs to be a lot more creative and a lot better.

Same recipe for the 04 cup. Dominant in net, lights out pp.

Teams feared penalties in 04.

It was the cumulation of fail from:

1. starting the attack from behind net while a player was changing.
2. to outskating his support through neutral zone

but give him credit... he got the puck in the zone.....

then stupidity comes in and instead of pulling up and setting up in the zone, he attacks 1 on 3.

Its time for someone on this team to grow a set of testes and get in Roloson's face. The powerplay is broken, so the only way to score is to get Roloson off his game. The only question now is: who is willing to do something that may actually be considered aggressive? Put the purses away and play like you give a sh**.
