This series, it seems as though the only line that looks threatening out there is the Zherdev-Giroux-JVR line. Sometimes, the HBL line looks like it's got something going, but that Zherdev-Giroux-JVR line looks like they could score a goal anytime they're on the ice. Why is our production from other lines dropping? Maybe stats can prove me wrong, but just from watching both games it seems as though our scoring depth has not been scoring. What can they do to get back on track?
I don't think so. I think JVR's line has been the best, yes, but the other lines are playing fine. The first game maybe not so much, but last night every line was getting chances and shooting the puck.
Apart from the stinker in Game 1....last 3 of 4 games Flyers offense has looked very good. You don't get 50+ shots ( a lot quality) with one line. We just have been hoodwinked by legit playoff goaltending in the likes of Miller and now Thomas. I really wish we had gotten the cagey vet Roloson as a backstop....the 1 or 2 deflating goals per game is becoming a bit too much to overcome. We've hadgood goaltending...just not exceptional goaltending that is needed to go toe to toe with goalies like Miller and Thomas. We got by Buffalo because their team was depleted and not defensively great...Boston is a whole different animal.
