And that's a bad pun!

But if Jussi hits the market, I'd love to have him playing here. I just don't know where he'd fit, as I don't see him having more chemistry with Kesler then Raymond or Burrows.

Try to pluck Loui Ericksson out of Dallas. Dallas fans will say he isn't going anywhere but his salary jumps up 1m in 2011 and continues to increase the year after and that's not good for a team in a financial mess. Start by offering Mason Raymond in return and say your 1st round pick.

Raymond, Schroeder & 1st

for

Loui Ericksson, 2nd

If Neal could be dealt, so could Ericksson!

For Pete's sake Huselius has been benched for "avoiding the puck". The guy has had 20 hits in 2 years. You want to play him with Kessler?

I guess you haven't heard of the term "developing prospect" in a while.

AV prefers plugs to players with skill. Case in point: Ballard scratched so Alberts and Rome can man the bottom pairing tonight.

Hodgson has been very good in most of the games he has played, but AV trusts guys like Tanner Glass more than him.

Ballard could possibly be available to teams that could attract him enough to include them in his list of teams. That depends on whether or not Gillis believes in Ballard or AV, of course. (Please believe in Ballard!)

Switch Schroeder for Hodgson and Dallas' 2nd for a 3rd and I think that the Dallas GM would have to seriously consider it.

They wouldn't.

Would we take that kind of a package for Kesler? I don't think so.

Sabres fan saying no. As good as Hodgson will probably be, and as much as we need center depth, I'd rather keep Ennis. Tyler Ennis is a bawse.

What kind of deal do you see Laich and Jokinen signing? Laich is making 2.4mil this year, and he scored 48 pts last season (59 the previous season). Plus, that 59 pt. season came on a Capitals team that was all about offense. I don't see many teams offering him over 3mil, if Vancouver offered 2.5mil, or even 2.75mil maybe he'd accept?

Jokinen I'm a bit concerned about. He has a good thing in Carolina, so I don't see him leaving. While he's putting up respectable numbers, I don't see many teams breaking the bank to sign him. Consistancy was an issue for him prior to his Carolina days, and I'd be too concerned he'd be useless elsewhere. I don't think I'd offer any more than 2mil on him for a 1 yr deal.

No, he's playing fine. He's mostly playing on the 4th line or is a healthy scratch though, he has 1 assist in 5 games and he's a -2. He hasn't looked out of place out there, but he's being used as a depth forward and hasn't been placed in an offensive role at all. He's just getting a taste of the NHL basically, with the way were bringing guys around recently I expect him to play most of next season in the AHL with some brief call-ups. Unlike other fans, that doesn't concern me at all either.
