School Project for Headshot's in the NHL

Hey guys !

So i made this video for my Ethic's and Media class at school . The purpose of it is to show how the NHL does not take Headshot's seriously. I would like comments on the video and general opinions of what you think. Thanks !

lump the number of games together and do a countdown to leading off with headshots with no suspensions.

IMO , honestly, that video is very sensational and views one point of view.
Hopefully its to show how the media can be used in an unethical manner aka propaganda aka using large font, the word "kill" and the music employed to get peoples attention on a sensitive issue. Weather you are right or wrong, does not really matter.

Well done video though, in technical terms.

Careful You might get fined by the NHL for stating facts.

Nice vid tho, A+ worthy just for the music/timing

I'd edit the last part of will the next hit kill to something like,

Its only a matter of time before one hit becomes fatal, or When will it be enough, or When will a hit become a horror story, something like that.

Personally, instead of the number of games suspended, I would try and find the number of games missed as a result of those hits.

Hit > Number > Hit > Number, etc. finishing with the total and "Games Lost to Headshots." Then add in your total games suspended tally somehow.

That's just me and I don't know the context of your report.

Looks good though.

In terms of creative feedback, I wouldn't choose that piece of music for the video, something less orchestrated would fit better. And besides, the number of game suspensions is not the real issue, it's the act of a player actually taking a shot at another player's head.

Very good vid, music fits pretty well and in my opinion gets the message across very well. However, I agree with @DirtyJeeves that you should include games missed by the injured player.
Well done!!

I don't agree with the music choice, the start just doesn't fit.

Also, there is no linear structure to your video. It goes back and forth with number of games missed. You can either go by the gravity of the his, from not too bad to worst, which would be pretty subjective, or you go with number of games suspended, from the most to the 0 games.

As of now, I find it's just a couple of head shots put one after the other without any structure. And as uiCk said, I don't think using words like KILL is the best idea either.

I personnaly thought the point was to show the inconsistency of the league when it comes to headshots.

Great vid would have been cool to implement what DirtyJeeves said to add extra effect and info. But the issue of headshots, should be the most important concern of the NHL. Football has taken action, and has impressed a lot of people.
I would disagree with the Crosby hit though; it took me a while to realize it wasn't a dirty hit as Steckel was trying to maneuver around Crosby, its one of those hits that happen uniquely because of the scenario. On the other-hand the others show movement towards the vulnerable player, which the NHL is progressing towards identifying more consistently.

Thanks The reason for the Crosby hit was not my choice. I am in a team for this project and the other guy wanted that hit. And for all the other people who said that i should put the suspensions from biggest to smallest. I will . No need to worry
