Terrible game. They have no chance at coming back this time.

Flyers fans deserve a better effort than what we saw tonight.

Fact.

Getting swept in this series wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen considering we're showing that we're not capable of winning the Cup. The fact that we've pulled our goalie in 7 games of the playoffs so far can't be ignored this offseason.

It's nice of them to spot Boston game 1 because you know they just didn't feel like showing up and they figured they would get them next time....oh wait next time the opposing goalie may steal a game....oh he did....now we're deflated and lose the next game in the first minute....wonderful!

Oh, I am sure they will ignore the fact that we need a good goalie again.

Not sure if this was posted already, but we lost the faceoffs by a tally of 43-12.

43-12.

Good thing we traded a 1st and 3rd for Versteeg instead of Roloson (who costed less) because God knows our need was a third liner who refuses to stay in position or dump the puck to start a forecheck.

The only good thing about our impending collapse is that it will be overshadowed by Washington's collapse.

The faceoffs were abysmal. Everyone sucked obviously, but I've noticed that Giroux is particularly hideous on the draw.

What do the Flyers and Caps have in common? No goalie!

What's amazing is that Versteeg hasn't gotten any better since coming here. He's had more than enough time to learn how to play with this team, and if anything he looks worse. Every time he does something good he usually celebrates by turning the puck over, and negating it.

I'm surprised, I'm not sure what happened. I thought our goaltending would give us an edge, but I didnt expect the Flyers to get blown out twice like that. I feel for you guys, my dad's side of the family are all Flyers fans and grew up in Philly so i was gonna root for the Flyers to make it to the cup if Boston lost. I mean, they could definitely still push it to game 7 but man something happened to the two top seeds.

I will gladly take a sweep if it means we get Ilya Bryzgalov or Vokoun. Hell, I'll buy some brooms for the cause. I'll take a year of heartache to just have Homer do the sensible thing, as horrifying as it sounds.

Don't want to do more goaltender piling on, because well you guys have said everything there is to say about it.

I do have one comment though: Does it seem like the goaltending thing is deflating the Flyers skaters? They almost seem like the goaltending thing is such an issue that they're waving the white flag. That's not something that happened at all last year. Down 2-0 in a given game last year, you would see them skate harder, not the other way around.

I'm not enjoying this as much as I thought I would, because imho a lot of Flyers aren't giving this their best effort. And that's not trolling, that's just what it looks like at arm's length.

Fwiw even a sweep doesn;t make up for last year. Nothing will...
