You can see that he cheated and poured bleach on the tires in this one. Try it sometime if your SUV doesnt have traction control. I did that once in front of my friends house in my 1968 LeMans, and the burnout was there for almost a year.

That's awesome.

I think most have concluded this series is over, should that be the case .... only fitting the streak ends with it. For the optimists in the group .... well .... if we win .... I think GMGM should put me on the payroll, fo sho.

I have a feeling that we'll win tonight. Why? So that our Caps can once again give us fans just a small glimmer of hope, only to cruelly snuff it out once again on home ice.

I have a feeling we will win tonight because coaches often make goalie changes on back to backs.

Bruce is so lost however, I think he may feel its more important to support Neuvy and his great year, than it is to try and shake up his team with the easiest and most significant shake up possible, a G thang.

We cant even dig ourselves into a deeper hole, thats how bad it is lately. Usually, the first rule when you are in a hole is to stop digging. We cant even do that right.

Claude Lemieux would be so proud. I would say lets work the refs tonight with some grade A diving, but I am not sure I can take the pain of watching another PP this season. We set up shop in the slot and never even try to pass it there. Our passing around the perimeter, laughable. Point play... off the chart. Our movement away from the puck, non existent. I would still like to see Erskine moved up to LW for our next PP. Yeah our PP is that bad.

I just heard on 106.7 and the caller was right. This is the ultimate test for the adversity testing we had this year. We wanted adversity, we got it. This is exactly what we have been practicing for. I retain some optimism because overcoming adversity was our theme this year. Not drawing cartoon players at work and then animating them tirelessly to get under 20k.

It starts with a goalie change.

Heck, if Bruce somehow manages to have his team make a comeback and win, I'd be okay if Ted signed him up for another 4 years.

It's over if they don't change their gameplan.

They can't transition the puck and when they fail, Tampa is taking advantage. Caps can't keep thinking that they just need to play better - they need to attack the Tampa trap in a new fashion, or they are gone...

Yes, its not over. BB needs to regain the confidence of the team in the new system, yet also make adjustments such as drawing TBL out of their shell with criss cross defensive zone passes and attacking the offensive zone as a unit with speed and smart dump-ins. Green could be a difference maker as the late guy on the attack.

Turnovers are killers. But it goes both ways. TBL is playing like a disciplined, opportunistic, and well-oiled machine -- need to shake them up like CHI did to VAN. Momentum can be reversed...must get over the inertia first...through adjustments, team work and collective will.

Like disco said, strategically we need to attack their defense differently. This dump and chase bull isn't working.

^ this

We'll probably pull out 3-2 or 4-3 win tonight, only to get hammered 6-2 back in DC on Saturday.

Put the Semin-Backstrom-Ovechkin line out and let them fly.

Because he warrants it? Hell, Beagle might produce more on the top line at this point. I'm the last person who will give up on this team, but he has been by FAR the biggest disappointment this season.
