Like disco said, strategically we need to attack their defense differently. This dump and chase bull isn't working.
Why the h... when I go to submit does it say that I'm not signed in? I wouldn't be able to reply if I wasn't signed in. Waste of my time when I'm already tic'd off.
In this post I'm going to blame the refs for last night's loss and maybe some of the first two games. There is bias for Tampa Bay. Who wouldn't rather go to Florida than Washington DC?
Several reasons for me saying this. Washington is watched like a hawk for mild infractions which then leads the players to be tentative for fear of taking a penalty. Tampa Bay has more leaway. Stamkos cross checks? No problem.
Goalie interferance resulting in a goal? No problem.
Goal called off because of too many men? From what I understand the puck wasn't anywhere near the bench and player was returning. Maybe not all on the ref but really hair trigger reaction against Washington don't you think?
gross. why are they talking about coming back from 0-3 and winning the series, they should be talking about winning tonight's hockey game.
anyways. 4-1 caps. matt bradley gets a shot on net. nick backstrom gets a shot in net. start of a 6 game winning streak. adriana lima buys me a drink at the bar. my leaky camshaft seal replaces itself and then grades this stack of 80 exams. diet dr. pepper actually does taste more like regular dr. pepper. human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria. go caps.
Looking for conspiracies at this point is beyond stupid. Whether there is a bias for TB or not, we should not be behind 3-0 in this series. We also would not have ended the season 1st in the EC if that was the case, we would have had the powers that be work against us and keep us from the playoffs, orbarely make it in.
We are simply getting outplayed. I felt like i was watching tape on a loop last night. Defense takes the puck out of our zone, brings it to the wall at the red line, dumps it in, minimal pressure in their zone if any, then a dump out or chance the other way. We haven't been able to weather the third period storm because we are going into the fallout shelter, and hoping the wall(Neuvy) doesn't break down.
After 5 minutes in the third last night, we had the look of a team who has given up. We have what, 15 shots combined in the 3rd period over 3 games? Pathetic. I hope we at least see some effort to work around their system, or break it down tonight, otherwise I will have lost what little faith i have left in BB. A good coach in the regular season, but terrible in the playoffs. If you can't figure out a way to break through a team that uses literally the SAME SYSTEM every game when they are tied up or have a lead, you should be ashamed of yourself.
How many seasons of excuses have to be used for us to realize there needs to be a change? Lastlly, maybe Fehr should not be out there, definitely not Schultz. Obviously crashing and banging is working best for us, so why not put Hendricks back in the lineup, hell, put him on the top line, and have him knock Ohlund and Brewer around a little bit. Maybe we can afford ovie a little more space, if they know someone else might line them up one time. Change needs to happen now, cause the same old same old is not getting it done.
Tonight will be easy to watch considering 1 of 2 things is going to happen:
1. The Caps win (which despite what the spastic homers believe, I would much rather see)
2. Bruce and George are summarily humiliated on such a level Ted will be forced to act.
The same thing applies to Game 5 in the unlikely scenario they push it 5.

No issue from me, you're just being a realist. You knew they were going to fail the whole time...just wondering why you're mad about it now?
I dont know what to do about Läckstrom but its best just to leave him with Ovi. But get Arnott out for some faceoffs late down a goal if he keeps up the good dot work.
I would have loved to have seen Hannan Green before we crumble into an offseason of complaining. Maybe its too late with Green nicked.
Throw Varly into the mix Bruce. It may be a game too late but better late than never.
BB is a fraud and I want him gone in the worst way, but I would rather win tonight even if that means he somehow keeps his job.
If we can win two straight we can make this very interesting, but we have to win one freakin game first.
Yeah, I think we win tonight and then come out flat Saturday. If they can somehow make it 3-2 heading into Monday, I'll hop back on the believe train. They lost my confidence in them last night. Does this team have the talent to pull off a 3-0 comeback? Yes. Does this team have the coach to pull off a 3-0 comeback? Highly unlikely.
Caps will get their two goals I'm sure. They might keep it interesting, maybe 2-2 entering the 3rd. Then someone will slack off or get beaten to an icing or something and Tampa will take the lead then cruise home 5-2.
I'd rather it be quick and painless and an early blowout then a thriller down the stretch. It's way too late for these clowns to start caring.
Prediction: Tampa comes out on all cylinders, goes up 2-0 in 1st and it could have been much worse. We show some fight in the 2nd to make it 2-1 only to have the bolts score with little time remaining in the second to make it 3-1. Bolts cruise in the third and complete the sweep.
What's the over/under on how late into the game BB hits the panic button, if he hasn't already?
I wonder what it getting said and by whom, in the meetings today?

He's probably signing his last few terrible local sponsorship deals so he can make whatever money he can before he's fired tomorrow.
