FORWARDS
Patrick Sharp ($3.900m) / Jonathan Toews ($6.300m) / Patrick Kane ($6.300m)

Kris Versteeg ($3.083m) / Marty Reasoner ($1.500m) / Ben Smith ($0.812m)
Bryan Bickell ($0.541m) / Ryan Johnson ($0.525m) / Arron Asham ($0.850m)

DEFENSEMEN
Duncan Keith ($5.538m) / Brent Seabrook ($5.800m)
Brian Campbell ($7.142m) / Niklas Hjalmarsson ($3.500m)
Nick Leddy ($1.116m) / 6th DMan($1.500m)
John Scott ($0.512m)

GOALTENDERS
Corey Crawford ($1.900m) / Backup G ($0.750m)

CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $62,500,000; CAP PAYROLL: $61,623,003; BONUSES: $545,000
CAP SPACE (21-man roster): $876,997

Still need to add a 13F there for cheap.

With a 2C for $3M..same variables as above.

CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $260,330

I'd prefer more than $260K in cap space for call-ups injuries..but maybe the Cap is a little higher than $62.5M

Without knowing the exact cap number it's tough to completely project, but those are just a couple more possible lineups.
The second proposal would be just way to close to the cap for sure. Being capped out= no good.

Take it for what it's worth, but Eklund has a rumour up that his Rangers sources say they want to buy out Drury, Avery, and trade Anisimov.

My interests are in Drury and Anisimov, more so Artem than Chris.

Anisimov could be great on the second line C with Hossa. Although he is an RFA.Might want too much $$$.

Drury could be a 4th line C for real cheap, but he does still get injured quite frequently.

Not sure how much they would demand.

What is the deal with Morin's injury? Concussion? Was he held out of the remainder of Rockford's season as a precaution? Or was it really that bad?

I like Anisimov as well but I just dont see the logic in Rangers moving him. He is only 22

Drury would get offers to be a 3rd line C from various clubs around league

I think it has progressed a lot since it happened. He was called up by the blackhawks so if he was honestly that bad then they wouldn't have called him up.

One of my favorite centers is Ryan Kelser, but no chance Canucks let him go.

Something happened with his neck, along with a concussion (although, from my understanding, the concussion wasn't that bad) but they were being very cautious with it.

I don't know exactly what it is, but from what I read he appartently got hit by a hip-check, rolled over the hitter, and landed on his head/neck. But, the reason I don't think the concussion was that bad, was apparently he just jumped right up and went to the bench. So even though there likely was a concussion, I doubt it would require sitting out the rest of the year seeing as it sounded as though he bounced right back up.

We have to acquire either a 2nd line C or top 6 LW IMO this offseason. Acquiring a 3rd line C doesn't make sense IMO as Bickell-Bolland-Frolik would be good going forward as our 3rd line and would allow us to have the depth within our team to succeed. If we move Bolland and say Bickell to top 6 roles we again will have very little in our bottom 6
Sharp is not best utilized at center. Why spend assets and cap space to make him play that role and still have the carousel at top line LW? Adding a center solidifies center and LW.

If you want to get a LW over a center, fine. But he has be the guy to complement the Toews- Kane line.

And while I think he's a good player, Versteeg is going to be traded three times in a year's time, four teams. That says something.

To an extent, I agree. Sharp is better utilized on the LW... but only really when he's with Toews and Kane. Their chemistry is unquestionable and they always make things happen. However, whenever Sharp plays on the LW centered by anyone else, he's almost invisible.

Also keep in mind, Sharp spent most of the year centering the second line and he put up career high point/goal totals. Much of them came from the PP and there's no reason he can't center the second line but still play with Toews/Kane on the PP.

Unless we can snag an affordable 2nd line center (or if you expect Bolland to play 2nd line center next year), then Sharp is better off at center for now. We just don't have the center depth to have all of our big guns on one line.

Drury for 2 Million or less would be great. He is still worth it.

and BWC. I wouldn't mind Sulli back for 1.8 or less. When healthy he could really really help us at LW. If he is injured Morin gets a call up. I think we would have nothing to lose?

Atlanta will match that easy. I think Ladd will get a similar contract to Buff.

Just on your Blackhawk salary predictions. I think all of you are undervaluing Frolik. He has been a consistent 40 point player for 3 seasons and I think he is worth at least $2mil per season, it will be interesting to if he elects for arbitration

He was called up, but he wasn't practicing with the team like the rest of the Aces.

A Bickell Bolland Smith Third line would be amazing IMO. The Hawks need to sign a strong 2nd center and then the left wing takes care of itself

Frolik is coming off a disaster of a season and if he want's that kind of money, we'll trade him or take compesation from whatever team signs him. It's as simple as that. Morin is a better player than him and will slide right into his spot.

Frolik > Morin

How someone claims the opposite is baffling

Frolik was great in the playoffs, and if he can play like that every single game, then the Hawks have one hell of a player and better than Morin is right now. If Frolik plays like he did for us in the regular season, he's just a glorified Pisani who shoots a lot more.

If Frolik got something like 2.2M for 3 years I'd be very pleased.

I have a good feeling Frolik will break-out next year and be a 25/35 player for us.

Obviously, everything we can save is important, but 2.2M for Frolik would be fair for both sides IMO.

Frolik already has a couple of 20 goal seasons and the playoffs showed that he has that extra gear you want a player to have when the real games start. He has potential and should be on next year's team. Morin should be getting big minutes in the minors and be a call-up.

If 2.2 hurts our ability to sign Crawford HELL NO.

Crawford should be top priority, and then sign Frolik after Crawfords deal is done if you can. If he demands too much...byyye.

Exactly. All I'm saying is if I'm Stan, I'm paying based on what I saw here. Frolik needs to make good before he gets over 2M. I wouldn't pay him based on what he did in Florida in the top 6. He had a horrible regular season for both of his teams. Yeah, if Frolik wants 2.2M for 3YRS, I'd take it because I expect him to be worth more those last 2 years and it's a contract that shouldn't be too hard to move if necessary. I assume both sides what to do a one year deal and see what he does. For that, it should be 1.8 absolute max.
