I suppose Z and his upper body injury (head case) gets some action?

Saw a picture of him with a cut cheek. I'd be surprised if that's actually what sat him out, but I didn't see anything else that would hurt him. Any ideas?

According to Bill Meltzer (via Twitter) Nodl has a deep cut under his right eye and is questionable for Game3.

dress zherdev, have him and carcillo split time on richie's line. versteeg and zherdev doesn't sound like all that great of a combination to me.

just wondering: is shelley healthy yet? i wouldn't be surprised to see lavi promote carcillo and call up shelley to be on the fourth line if this is the case (not saying i hope this happens).

I assume this means the funeral/viewing is some time this weekend? Friday night perhaps?

It is probably not the severity of the cut, but more likely the swelling of the eye. If you can't see or have a huge blind spot, then you are more likely to be a liability than an asset.

or a concussion (my 1st thought when a puck hits the head).

news?

any news on the return of nodl?

would hate it if he would get benched in the playoffs (again)

since ESPN decided to broadcast all the MTL-BOS games I'm in a media blackout, seems Zherdev played fine.... who else but nodl would be sidelined if Z stays in?

One of the articles on CSN implied Nodl was getting better, but is still having problems.

I suspect the only person who would come out would be Carcillo, but given how the Sabres have been playing, this seems unlikely.

He's always wearing a visor, isn't he? Did he skate with a cage earlier in the week?

He's wearing an amber visor today. I hadn't heard anything about him wearing a cage. Do you remember where you saw that? All we know is he had lacerations under his eye. Best kept secret in all of hockey!
