He was a dominant force throughout the game and seems to be in great shape. With Domi and Horvat already there, there take on it was that there doesn't seem to be much room with the Knights with those 2 young stars coming in.
Any comments on other Knights protege that played anywhere else in other camps in the last few weeks?

I have a feeling he ends up in London on a full time basis by January. If London trade for Domi they will target next season as go time and some present guys could be moved for younger talent if they are not going to be here next year. It all depends on Max Domi, if they land him they will continue to fill in roster with players and maybe move out some guys who will not be back next year anyway....and some big names.

Like I have said before, I think he will force the Knights to keep him. I don't know if anyone in Hawkesbury can really push him to become something more. Practicing with the Knights and being around the team on a daily basis would certainly benefit him more. They have a great deal of 94, so to add Horvat, Domi and I think Elie, would make them something to deal with for years to come with a young, but talented group. It would be a mix of different styles of players which is always great. Keep me posted because action on the ice starts on Wednesday, right?

It was two 2nds and a 3rd for Kerby, and Kerby was the 21st pick in the first round.

Lucas Lessio was dealt for three second rounders, a third rounder and a fourth rounder. Lessio was drafted 7th overall.

Domi is come comparable to Lessio in draft placement, and both fell because of NCAA threats and signability issues so I think the price will start at three second rounders.

Ottomatic is right...there is now way domi will go for anything less than 3 2nds. That's exactly what I've heard for a couple months now.

According to Sunaya Sapurji, Domi is not at the Fronts camp. I wonder if this has to do with no deal being announced yet?

Domi is not in Kingston. When do the Knights get on the ice, that's when I imagine the trade will be announced.

The Knights' camp opens Wednesday. I was under the impression that the trade window opened today for Domi though.

Knights holding a presser tomorrow at 11 a.m..

With the Domi rumours swirling, why else have a presser?

This has me a little uneasy. It is a great move to get a top prospect but for 5 high picks? The Knights won't have an abundance of picks anymore especially after the Maatta trade and this one.

I'm in complete surprise this deal is going to happen today....

I'm in agreement with Kf97.... so much for all those picks.

Take a step back and look at big picture. If they are going this route and it certainly points that way now then their build plans are for next year and repeat following season. Looking at players presently on the roster who will be gone next year gives you an idea of what they can do to strengthen next years team for two more seasons. Trade real skilled guys in their final year for 16 yr old kids with lots of pics....and I bet they go this route later on by deadline.

A couple of maybe even three guys would send them back huge asset packages....

Domi deal is official. 2 seconds in 2012 (Erie & Guelph) and a 2nd in 2015. I'm glad to see just 3 picks, not 5!

So it was 3 2nds and no more. Unless the bobkov or greenway trade were a prelude. Now does mark stand still for a bit?

I know it's 3 second rounders..but only one was Londons to begin with. Gotta think London kinda stole Domi for 3 picks...even if it was 3 seconds.

yeah I'm kinda surprised it only cost that much. Considering what Mark got for D'Orazio and DeSousa, this is hardly a risk. It should work out nicely for the Knights.

So it's basically Mike D'Orazio for Max Domi plus London likely get 2 1/2 more season's from him compared to what D'Orazio had left.

Great trade by London. More proof that its better to trade declining assets (in regards to years left) for something that will help in the long term.

Shocked more teams dont take this approach.

Actually Simon...none of the picks for D'Orazio were moved. I believe they moved the 2nd they got in the Varone deal(Erie)..the 2nd they got in the Erlich deal(Guelph)...and their own 2nd in 2015. They still have Sudbury's 2nd this upcoming draft..and all 3 Missy seconds in 2015,2016,2017. Great work Mark...in my opinion you stole the kid.

Now that I know the picks weren't ours that we traded away the deal works out pretty good for London and Kingston. They'll probably get a pretty high second from Guelph and maybe the same from Erie.

I'm hoping to get down to the JLC today if everything goes as planned. I need to watch some hockey.

What happened on the first day of camp? Any surprises? Anybody making their way on the team?
How did the Ottawa boys do?

Jammes showed really well...still say he'll be on a B card(10 games) and will be playing in either London or St. Thomas this season.

Elie looked OK..but his skating ability was really exposed and not in a good way. He made a few miscues that were glaring and because he's not as fleet of foot..he was caught way out of position. I like the kid, I like his nose for the puck..but right now I gotta believe he's a long shot.

duPuy was solid on the back end..but we're log jammed...I'd like to see him in..but I just don't see it happening.

Domi's vision is 2nd to none. The kid has that "knack" and you just can't teach that aspect of the game.

Horvat was solid...but the kid is the real deal..I already knew that.

Anderson looked good. I like his size and would mark him above Hatcher after one day at camp.

Overall the only glaring achilles heel will be in goal. The tragic loss of Ian Jenkins is a void you just can't fill. Behind Houser...we have nothing.
