Pearson should not be on a 4th line. He may not be an all star, but he still managed over 40+ points last year. To say Huether would start off higher, I certainly can't see that happening.

I agree, I like Pearson, but should he be ahead of any of the three that I listed?
I put Huether on the 2nd line because that's where Hawerchuk has him penciled in...he figures he will be a top 6. And I like Taylor in a 3rd line roll.
If Hall doesn't bring it like expected I would expect him to move down in the lineup but Behenna and Locke are sure things there I think unless Locke plays centre.
He may start Huether on the 2nd line, but it's doubtful he'll stay there past the first couple games. I would not be surprised to see Pearson actually tested with Sheifele and Behenna, considering they're all from the same area and may stick together over the summer. Just a guess though.
As for goalies, Fotino's may surprise big time. Another high prospect goalie coming from the Marlboro's (JP Anderson as well a few years back).
Tigers, does Barrie start to try and move some of the 94 picks they already have? Starting to look like they aren't in the Colts plans.
Im sure they try but outside of a few select players im not sure if there will be a huge demand. Every team has similar players that they can play, and dont have to give up an asset to do so.
Tough to see a Jr B player moving right into a 2nd line spot, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it happens.
What is the story with Bell? Thought for sure he'd be the next in line.
I would think maybe Pearson is the player for that spot. Maybe some time and it will be moved around.
The Terrerri's move is interesting. Not sure thats where I want my OA spot however they do need to add grit.
My conection in Aurora where Bell played last year is saying he isn't really happy with what has gone on and is in talks with Farris State.
That's bad news, but I understand the move. Hopefully he takes his time and makes the best decision for him. Losing shore still hurts though and this would sting the same.

To be honest im not sure that he would be better then what they already have. Id rather have a kid like Seraphim on the 4th line then Bell. I see more in Seraphim. Bell would probably be ha depth player.
I saw him play a lot last year and once the coach started giving him ice in Jan he was arguably Aurora's best player. Pointstreak - 8 points in first 35 games 15 points in last 17.
I don't think it would take long before he was in the top 9 for sure.
A junior B player coming in and playing on the second line is the debate? Scheifele came from Junior B to be the 1st line centre. Its worth a shot, if it works great if not they have otehr guys that can step in and take that spot.

I saw that too when I was looking online...I must confess I only saw one Aurora game this year...in January...he didn't look great in it.
I liked him at the Evaluation scrimmage, he looked like possibly the third best player on the ice...
Bennett, another board is saying, is possibly leaving the team to go to school...I am guessing he was told there wasn't a spot for him this season to play everyday.
I hope Bell reconsiders because he will be opn this team leaviung camp and with some injury issues on some players ahead of him in the depth chart, he could move up in the lineup quickly.
I agree with Tiggers though! The ceiling on Seraphim is much higher....a power forward in this league is hard to find...
I disagree. Bell is a more mature player, has better hockey sense and will take less time to take an effective shift in the OHL. Seraphim had a few gimme goals in the rookie skate against '94s and ‘95s. I wouldn’t be so quick to confuse that with readiness to be in the OHL or his upside therein. Big kid, but a power forward in this league? Not yet boys. I think he makes the team but a project for sure.

You cant judge a player simply off a rookie skate. How often have you seen the kid play?

Hello,
Terreri is there to protect Ekblad. Seems pretty logical to me. Just like Stevens was brought in a couple years ago to protect the kids for a year. It's unfortunate, but without him some clown would try to make a name for himself as the guy who fought Ekblad. Course the guy who tried that in Chara's first WHL shift is the answer to a trivia question now...

If memory serves, he was pretty good in camp last year and in the blue white game.
You referenced Seraphim's play in a rookie camp, not anything rlse.
What's so amazing about that question lol?
I referenced the skate simply because that is where I’ve seen the two on the ice together and because others had mentioned (including you) that there was more upside to Seraphim. I’ve watched both play several times separately and simply don’t agree with the assessment. That's not really worth arguing as either could and will probably be on the team.

I appreciate your insight Mr. Wilson,
I will say this...Seraphim imo is a prototypical power forward....great hands in close, adequate skater, not affraid to go to the dirty areas, very good size, decent passer, very good vision and instincts...( I saw him in 6 MM games as well). I love his ceiling....even if Bell is a 20/20 guy and good on the PK, I still love Seraphim's ceiling over Bell's...jmo
I don't disagree with you to often however this time I'm going with Mr Wilson on this one. If you are looking for a power forward that can put the puck in the net I'm going with Bell. 6'1 180lbs that can score. 20/20 guys don't come around that often in the OHL and I think in a couple of years 20/20 will be low.
Don't get me wrong I like the upside to Seraphim but I think he needs to develop some more.
It was a surprise that Mark Scheifele went number 7 today in the draft. I expected him to go around 12/13. It was interesting that the Jets selected him over Couturier. I guess time will tell if that was the right move or not. Regardless he is a good player and deserved to be a first rounder.
