Yes. If they moved to Atlanta and called themselves the Thrashers.

Should be a battle. Boston definitely has the talent and seems to have the drive. TB has taken out a team that had the biggest drive of any team in the playoffs but no weapons, and a team with tons of weapons but no drive at all.

With Boston they have to face both at the same time.

Offense: Lightning
Defense: Bruins
Goaltending: Even (At the worst a very slight edge to Thomas)
Special Teams: Lightning
Coaching: Id say even. Julien and Boucher are great coaches.
Road To Get Here: Dead even. 7 game 1st series, Sweep 2nd series.
Grit: Even
Intangibles: Lightning? (Cup winners, are there any on Boston?)

I would say it will be a 6 or 7 game series. No idea who takes it though. Then again it could just as easily be a sweep for either team haha. I have no freaking clue. Go Bolts!

Tough series to predict. Right now, every bounce is going the Bruins way...they look like the 2001 Patriots.

My Habs heart tells me Tampa in 6

My head tells me Boston in 6.

Bring it on.

Would be awesome if Timmah won a cup...

Would also be awesome if Stevie Y. won a cup in his first year as GM...

rooting for TB 'cause of Stammer, Vinny and St. Louis but I like the B's too. However Boston is the better team IMO.

I cannot decide on this one at all as I actually have a little bit of a soft-spot for both teams (after the Penguins of course).

Now with both Washington and Philly out, who the heck am I going to bag now?

On paper you would think Boston would win, but there's definitely something about Tampa that makes the sum greater than its parts. I also think Boucher is a fantastic coach and will outcoach Julien handily. I like Tampa in 6, they've made me a believer.

Boston should win.
St. Louis will just scoot through Chara's legs to score.

Boston, in my opinion, is the toughest matchup for Tampa in the east. They are a big, physical team that can wear you down, and they have stellar goaltending behind a very solid defense. My brain says Boston, but I'll go homer here and take the Lightning in 6 or 7. We've already surprised a lot of people, so let's do it again.

I'll say Boston in 6, but no way will I be surprised if Tampa wins. Something special about that team.

All bets are off imo. For me the most interesting about this series is the goaltending battle, the two oldest ones(and maybe the two best save Rinne) in the playoffs battling to get a chance on their first Stanley Cup win.

God help me. I would love the end result. Too bad I wouldnt be alive to see it and enjoy it as I would probably die from a heart attack sometime during the first OT.

Only thing I know is that this is going to be a ****ing dog fight of a series. Both teams will be rested and ready to just get at each other already by game time whenever it is. Thing is, with Chara is who do you put him out against? We juggle our lines a ton and with the way the 3rd line of Downie-Moore-Bergenheim has produced it creates a headache to defend against. If Gagne the Bruin Killer comes back for the Bolts, and Bergeron is able to go for the Bruins this is going to be a doozy no doubt about it. Watching the two old men play nets will be fun to watch too, both goalies are non-traditional butterfly guys.

I wouldn't put too much stock into last series for either team. Philly has been in shambles for months now and Washington is a no-show every playoffs anyway.
