Hate to say it , but there George signing a name, rather than talent. Guy cant see the forest for the trees..No offense to Kaminsky, but as I said before, if his name was Jan Smith, he never would of been signed.

Generals Head Coach and General Manager Chris DePiero announced today that the Generals have acquired the rights of goaltender Daniel Altshuller along with a 5th round pick in 2015 from the Belleville Bulls.

In return the Generals have sent a 2nd and 4th round pick in 2012, a 2nd round pick in 2014 and a 5th round pick in 2013 which originally belonged to the Owen Sound Attack to the Bulls.

Said it in the Spitfires thread, but trading a 2010 3rd round pick for 2 2nds, a 4th and a 5th is a heck of a trade.

Hello All.
Its not quite the season, but at least there is stuff happening.
Has there been any sightings of Import Daniil Zharkov yet, and if so, how does he look?

Yes, Zharkov made an immediate positive impression, and was signed yesterday.

Oh no! Thats terrible news.
Sorry Bulls fans, that is a real disapointment. I was truly intrigued at how he would fare this season.
Thankfully the website says 8-12 weeks, so good luck to him in his recovery.

Now a poster on another site is saying carnevale is out? Also too bad if it's true, he was great in rookie camp.

Bulls defeated the Fronts 6-1 in Wellington...another player to the injury list: Lemmon joins a number of Bull players on the sidelines

There are a few teams being plagued by the injury bug and the regular season is still a ways to go. That has to bite large since Belleville seemed to be heading in the right direction.

The Bulls even their record at 1-1 with a 4-3 win over the Soo Greyhounds. The Bulls opened their season last night dropping a 2-1 decision to the 67's. The injuries just keep on coming as Stephen Silas was hurt last night in the nations capital

Now that Payerl has been sent back to the Bulls George will have to make a decision about the extra OA. I'm sure he would get more trading away Payerl over Mackie but with 2 losing seasons in a row as a fan I want someone who can put the puck in the net not and agitator. Seeing Payerl stay the longest at the pro camps means either he got lucky or he worked his butt off this summer to be ready for this year.

IMO I think Mackie's days are numbered in a Bulls uniform.

Bulls were looking good against the Petes but quick as can be they now trail 5-4 going into the third. Sometimes I forget how suddenly scores can change in the OHL.

The bulls even their record in the Shaw by defeating the Gennies 2-1. The bulls are going to be a handful when healthy for alot of teams

Lemmon had one really nice hit last night, that was pretty great. I have given him the nickname Lemmon Truck, I don't care if it's terrible.

Bulls with a 3-0 lead. Then Gaunce with a boneheaded give away and Subban playing scared hands the Dogs goals.Followed by Chartrand mishandling the puck behind the net and Dogs score the easiest shorthanded goal they will ever get.
Payerl played like a man among boys but then freezes when the scoring chances appear.
Lots of positives but the brain freezes killed them.

In fairness to Jordan he is small compared to some of the big OHL boys but he has some serious upside and will fill out over the years. His ability to get to full speed and his skillset will help out a lot over the course of his years there. Add in that Malcolm is solid too and despite all the injuries this club is hanging in there.

I make 1 critical comment about 1 boneheaded play and I am now apparently questioning Subbans talent.
He will be a very good OHL dman but it was a very stupid and careless play in a game that was winnable.
Jordan would be the 1st guy to admit his mistake.
They are kids but they are in a league that could lead to the pros and having their performances publicly criticized is part of the package. The kids apparently handle it better than some Bulls fans.

From last nights game:

4-2 Bulls, in a lively contest. Near the end of the game, Payerl I think it was, shot and hit the crossbar so hard behind Altshuller that it looked like the net actually lifted off the ice slightly.
Another good game for Chartrand. He'll see lots of action until Subban's ankle heals.
Strong game for Curtis, who was hit on the wrist and the leg blocking shots. He'll need the icebags tonight

The Bulls are playing well all things considering.

As per Knights facebook page:

London Knights have traded defenseman Jake Worrad to the Belleville Bulls. In exchange for Worrad, the London Knights will receive a 2nd Round pick in 2012 (originally Oshawa’s) and a conditional 15th Round pick in 2013 from Belleville. Any thoughts on this guy the Bulls picked up?

The Bulls have no PP but Burnett insists on using the same people and the same strategy as if by magic it will suddenly produce.
Maybe the kids need to forget the x,s and o,s and just shoot the darn puck and go hard to the net for the rebounds. It works 5 on 5 when George relaxes the defensive schemes(trap) why not the PP.
If these kids have any offensive flair,it appears that Burnett throttles it and wants them in a certain spot at at a certain time. They look to be thinking to much instead of using instinct. It allows the opposition to get to the shot and passing lanes.Other teams know the Bulls PP scheme as well as they do.
The potential for offense is there based on the obvious individual talent but they need to be unshackled. The confidence in their ability to score will only come when they relax and stop pre-thinking every action.
