He's frustrated that Ottawa prefered playing against Quebec instead of Gatineau. He's acting a bit childish.

Serge, do you know if the Remparts have assigned numbers for their players for tomorrow's game?

cuts

I was under the impression that most of the cuts would have been made yesterday.

Sorensen (concussion), Etchegary, Archambault and Boily won't play tomorrow for Quebec. Domingue is starting. Have a good game!

quick note on the game

I may be a little premature in rating this team but there is a great deal of offensive upside on this team, and the team also looked big and tough.
I really liked the way Smith was playing and it seems that Toffoli and Prince will be sniper's when they get back from training camp with the Pro team's.
Monahan was very good and I think that if Martindale returns he will be on the second line with Smith and Janes, whom I must add looked good and were very tough to play against. We have four of the strongest lines I have seen since the 1999 club hands down.
The core of the team played very sound hockey and we definitely have a superb goaltender combo. As for Defense, Ceci and Cajkovsky were very tough to play against, I liked Zanetti's leadership and puck control out there as well. As for the rookies I liked Van Stralen's game and effort alot. but the youngster Perklin was a no show for his first game in the barber poles.
Great game guys, I could say more but hey I am not a writer.....honorable mention to all the second year players, they seemed to be stronger and playing with more confidence.

Here is my prediction for Captain and Assistant's for 2011-12

Toffoli Captain
Zanetti Assistant
Ceci Assistant
Martindale Assistant

Howdy all...
Great to have Hockey back..
Tuned into Team1200 to listen to Mikhail Grigorenko and the Ramparts face the 67s, and was treated to a great game..(now I must confess, I was cheering on the opposition, because of my interst in the Russian, lol, and as usual I back the bloody losing team..lol)
Considering it was an "out of league game"--it sounded very intense, with quite a bit of bad blood, hits, fights and just a great example of how great the youngsters in ALL these leagues are.

Wow,your boy Sean Monohan sounded terrific, is he really a 2013 Draft Prospect?
and Dalton Smith sounded like a real intimidating guy.
In fact, the 67s sounded like a tough team--and although a hit by Ramparts Tam infuriated the broadcasters, I think the 67s were the more imposing side.
Gosh it was so good to listen to a game.
Outstanding job by the guys at Team1200

You guys are right. This game was very intense in every aspects. I am anxious to see what comes out of it as far as cuts and everything. Some kids are making it hard for management to decide, that is for sure!!!

The puck was in at the end. A shootout would have been fun.

yes true

I was at the middle of the rink and I would agree I thought it was in as well but ,I also would have liked to have a video review of the Ottawa goal that was disallowed.

That one definitely hit something that was above the bar, the shot was headed for the bleachers. Question is what did it hit.

I have the impression that the team is now in it's final version as far as cuts go. all the players are now listed on the web site including the rookies.

awesome(bias opinion). scored 2 goals, i nice one timer from the point on the PP and a softie wrister from the the slot also on the PP. He looks so big on the ice compared to everyone else. Controlled the power play for Quebec but really didnt see him use his body on defense. all in all he was really fun to watch.

I enjoy my trip to Ottawa.

Just bad that the referee doesn't go to the video replay when he doesn't see the puck pass the goal line with 30 seconds to go. This goal tie the game 3-3.

If you see a Remparts fan with a big flag, it was me.

Well if it was a high stick then Mr Roy was correct it was a tie. And I think a shoot out would have added even more entertainment to the whole game.

Especially since there are skilled players on both teams.

I have been to more than one pre season game at different locations where there was a shootout at the end of the game even though the score wasn't tied.

Here's how I think the 67's lineup will shake down to open the season:

Prince-Martindale-Toffoli
Smith-Monahan-Gustaffson
Janes-Graovac-Van Stalen
Foglia-Dubois-Giftopolous
Ceci-Zanetti
Cardwell-Cajcovsky
Shipley-Fielding
Mrazek
Campbell

Perklin, Callahan, Vlajkov

Any comments?
