I think you will see Graovac given an opportunity to centre the second line ahead of Monahan.

Prince -- Martindale -- Tofolli
Smith -- Graovac -- Janes
Van Stralen -- Monahan -- Foglia
Gustavson -- Giftopolous -- Dubois

Zannetti -- Ceci
Cajovsky -- Cardwell
Shipley -- Fielding

Perklin (only until his broken finger has healed, then he will be in the lineup replacing Gustavson or Dubois)

Vlajkov, Callahan - I think one of these will be in every game, subbing with Shipley and Fielding.

Mzarek
Campbell (until we trade him at the deadline

I wondered what the injury to Perklin was. He'll be a good regular addition once he gets back. Not often you get guys that size that can skate.

Completely disagree. I may be biased (look at my signature), but I think Sean Monahan is poised for a breakout season and will become a star in the OHL. This year.

I don't disagree about Graovac on the 2nd line. I think he should get a chance on the wing.

Absolutely love the lineup otherwise.

That's why I said Graovac would be given a chance to show he could be a second line centre. Maybe line 2A and Monahan 2B. I agree that Monahan is a stud. I think he will have a break out year whoever he plays with. That certainly would spread out the offense.

Probably be announced to season ticket holders at the dinner tonight... heard rumours about the unveiling of a 3rd jersey there tonight as well.

Ottawa 67s win 2-1 over the Belleville Bulls.

-Overall, it was a great way to open up the season for the 67s, especially without the presence of Martindale, Toffoli, and to a lesser extent Cajkovsky (sp?).

-Dalton Smith steamrolled Malcolm Subban (intentionally in my opinion, and will face suspension). Absolutely despicable play, he deserves at least 5-10 games in my opinion.

-Sean Monahan (no bias, other than he's the best player in the world) had an okay game, but dominated statistically with assists on both goals. He's approaching 6'3", and his puck control skills will make him a top player in the league. Still, wasn't overly thrilled with his game. Great player, just tried to do too much.

-Petr Mrazek was great, as usual, and showed that he can backstop the 67s to a deep playoff run

-David Perklin (first round pick) was hardly noticeable, and did not see a lot of ice. Not good, considering 2 forwards were missing and Smith was thrown out early.

-Shane Prince looked like he was trying to carry the whole team on his shoulders. His speed and puck control (along with his vision) is truly amazing, but he needs to simplify his game, and let players like Monahan, Graovac, Smith, and Janes take a bigger role, instead of Prince having to feel the need to do it all.

-Before the draft, I really wanted (and clearly stated) that I wanted the Sens to draft Tyler Graovac. He's 6'4" and has some of the nicest hands I have seen in my life. Needs to simplify his game and make better choices, but he really does remind me of a slower Jason Spezza. Steal for Minnesota in the 7th round. If Martindale plays in OKC, then look for Graovac to be a paramount contributor in the 2C role.

-I've said that the 67s need a 2nd line RW (lesser extent 2nd line LW), and I think Steven Janes could fit that role. Also 6'4", he showed an incredible boost of speed that could propel him into that role.

-2nd line of Smith (6'2"), Graovac/Monahan (6'4"/6'3"), Janes (6'4") would be beast.

-Ceci looked a lot better. I've been tough on him for the past few years due to his turnovers, but he looked a step ahead tonight. Mid first rounder in my books.

-Gustavsen (5'7") is a player who, along with Monahan, I had seen at the OHL cup two years ago, and I absolutely love him. He is such a good little agitator/bugger, they better take Perklin and Giftopolous out instead of him when the NHLers come back.

-Giftopolous, in my opinion, is the odd man out, and won't play too much.

-Van Stralen looked like he belonged after coming up from Smith Falls.

-New barberpole jerseys look absolutely stunning, bought one for myself tonight, just waiting to get "Monahan" on the back.

-Saw Dan Tessier as a cop (former Ottawa 67s captain), and my old favourite player during the 90s earlier 2000s.

-Cheerleaders were beautiful, much better than the Senators ones.

Manked, I'd never pull out a big body and skilled guy in Perklin to throw in an Agitator type in Gustavsen even though I think sometimes getting under opposition's skin can be a useful strategy. Perklin will develop into a good player and when the vets all graduate he'll be the future so that's the smartest strategy for the present and future.

While I agree that Perklin is going to be a big part of the future, Gustavsen just played so well, in my opinion, that it would be stupid to take him out of the lineup.

He fought, he PK's, he grinds, he does everything a coach would ask for him. Keep him in their no matter what.

According to Edmonton's website, Ryan Martindale and few other players have been assigned to Oklahoma City (AHL) today. Guess this means that Martindale won't be returning. Does anyone know what Edmonton's contract situation sits at now

About halfway through the third period of the game against belleville. I forget exactly you hit him, but from what i can remember i was it was pretty hard. The play happend behind the the belleville net. He didnt appear to be injured at the time, as he continued with the play.

Wow... 10 games for Dalton Smith for the run in with Malcolm Subban in the home opener. I suppose that the OHL Commish is sending a loud message in regards to head shots. I cannot disagree with the suspension, I was at the game and it looked like he made no attempt to miss skating into the goalie. Smith's absence will really hurt the 67's until some reinforcements are back in the lineup.

67's win 8-3 in Saginaw. 4 point night for Toffoli. He is going to have a monster season, barring any injuries. I cannot wait for Prince's return to the lineup, the 67's offense will be flying.

Edmonton announced Martindale's going to play in the AHL, not OHL.
With the way Monahan's played so far, I think he'll soften the blow.

Not to mention the emergence of Graovac as a top 6 forward, and Janes as a 2nd line RW.

In my opinion, all the 67's need to be a legitimate contender is another 3rd line center.

Prince-Monahan-Toffoli
Smith-Graovac-Janes
Van Stralen-???-Foglia
Perklin-Dubois-Gustavsen
