I'm really mystified here, so they just upped the limit a little more compared to when it was the RSL?

Limit only for Russian clubs:
2006/07 - 3 foreign players
2007/08 - 4 foreign players
2008/09 - 5 foreign players, but only 4 on the game
2009/10 - 5 foreign players
2010/11 - 6 foreign players
2011/12 - 5 foreign players

Clubs: Dinamo Riga, Dinamo Minsk, Barys Astana and LEV Poprad – no limit

I would add that some federations (non-Russian) may and have a right to install a self-imposed limit if they so wish.

Denis Golubev, U-20 gold medal Ak-Bars prospect was loaned to Mora of the Allsvenskan...

Seems like a strange move to me...Does anybody have any information behind it?
I would think that he could at least play Eliteserien if not KHL

Along with Golubev, Raimonds Vilkoits another center that is a KHL prospect (Dinamo Riga) has a try-out contract with Mora.

Can anyone make sense of these moves especially Ak-Bars with Golubev?

Well in their minid - he's not Ak-Bars KHL ready, possibly he's not KHL ready at all - I think he projects like a 3rd line KHL player with some scoring touch. For some reason - they want him to play away from home and not in the VHL. As for Vilkoits - I think that is just his level at this point time.

Yeah, well all that makes sense in terms of KHL ready and wanting a notch up from VHL, but its weird that Ak-Bars landed on Mora of Allsvenskan. We'll see how this turns out I suppose

Makes no sense that he does not go to VHL/MHL. If he's not KHL ready, then thats where he belongs.

Well Ak-Bars is saying he's not going anywhere. He's overgrown mhl long time ago - as for VHL may be they wanted him to be farther away from home - outside of comfort zone? some young men need that to realize - it's time to grow up.

Read Shavaleev's quotes too, although he's confirmed on Mora's site: http://www.moraik.se/default.asp?PageID=703
And yes, I agree, this transfer is truly interesting and it's good for him to get some good ice time abroad and grow up

Did Vasyunov go to Lokomotiv, I thought I saw something on one of the Russian sites, but I'm not sure if it was just a rumour?

When is Avto going to start signing players, they need a lot of them. Rumor they are trying to sign Krutov's son who was an average player in the Swiss league for the past few seasons.

Are they waiting for the NHL free agency?

that's what they are saying, but the reality is - I doubt they can afford any NHL players, AHL at best. The team border-line collapsed and I doubt they did a lot of scouting. Even with the few players metnioned by Byakin they need at least 3 more lines or just about. I bet we will see some MHL grads on their roster as well.
