but who is available to be a GM? (not french, anyone!!)
Just talking about the sens actually and couldn't really
think of who was out there.
Why should we fire Gauthier? What has he done to deserve it? Because of how the team is playing right now? I guess it is, but is it Gauthier's fault? If I remember correctly, most of us were happy with the Erik Cole signing. Sure the Markov contract now seems to be sketchy, but we don't have the informations surrounding that slow recovery. Maybe he just role the dices, and he lost...I mean, Markov is a top D when healthy, I can see why any GM would have liked to keep him on their team.
So really, what has he done to deserve it? Fire Martin? Not that I really agree with that statement at this point of the season, but I could see why. He takes some weird decisions right now, but Gauthier?
As for who's available, pretty much everyone without a contract. Anyone with hockey experience can be a GM. Who would we go for? I really have no idea...could be someone with NHL experience, could be an ex-player...anyone, really.
Good god no, the team would be even softer, if that's possible.
I vote Pierre Lacroix, if he's available. I know that he wouldn't have the same budget, but when Lacroix was GM, every player on the Avalanche team had a specific, no jersey fillers like Palushaj or Darche. + They were one nasty team to play against.
I guess you guys cant read!!! It's not for the habs. I am trying to find ALL Gm's who currently are not employed in the NHL ie... would Timmins ever be a gm?
I have been on google trying to find a list but can't.
If you included asst gm's around the league there would be some interesting names. Depends whether the team would let them interview (i.e Jim Nill in Detroit, Dave Nonis in Toronto). Wouldn't be surprised to see Rick Dudley get another gig and he already was the Sens gm before.
