In my 20 years of going to Sharks games I've never seen this happen until tonight. I don't know the story but one dude was escorted out and the guy he hit was treated by paramedics. No clue if it was a wings / sharks thing or just some drunk a-hole(s). Dude was BLOODY, though.
Come on, people. It's just a freaking hockey game.
I was unable to see what happened because I'm towards the other side of 201, but everyone was looking over to 228. It's really sad when someone crosses the line over a game.
Actually ran into a group after the game that dealt with it around them, and had a bit of blood on their jerseys. apparently a woman without a ticket in the section was blocking the view during play, was yelled at, and was sort of nudged out of the way. boyfriend didn't like that she was touched, and blammo.
off topic, there was a fight in 213, my section, as well. two drunken red wings fans clearly looking for something got what they wanted when a poor sharks fan who got beer spilled on him throughout the game had enough, slapped the beer from the guy's hands, and then the wings fan proceeded to throw a punch while being pulled by his shirt down about 5 rows. his buddy jumped in, but that became pretty much it.
Tuesday at the Joe will be win-win for me. Sharks lose, I more likely than not get back to Canada unharmed. Sharks win, then I get to watch the Sharks in the Western Finals from my hospital bed.

hooray booze.
A similar situation happened in my row in game 2. A guy about 45 years old next to me was getting really pissed off at kid about 20 years old in front of him for leaning forward. The kid really wasn't leaning forward, but this guy was cursing him out and started kicking him in the back.
It was only a matter of time before something happened, I told the usher in my section during the intermission and they were able to move the older guy to another section.
This kind of stuff really bothers me. It is why I eventually cancelled my Raiders season tix..well that and Jamarcus Russell.

Hm ... when I've sat in the 200's certain sections are a little over demanding and down right rude to anyone leaning forward or standing during play. It really can get out of hand ... If someone put their hands on my wife, I don't care who it is, it's on.

Even if they just politely tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention, you'd lash out? remind me not to sit near you at a game >_>
I could see the commotion from over in 208, but never saw how it started. Only some tussling about and eventually 4 guys getting escorted out by ushers. At least it provided some fun entertainment when the game sucked...
We were in 201 and saw punches being thrown but it didn't look like it was a Red Wings vs. Sharks thing. Never really saw who did it, but did notice a group of four walking down the aisle between 228 and 201 without an usher. I think they were leaving before they could get in any trouble.
i was at the Joe for game 4 and got into it with a fan after Heatley tied the game because out of his drunken bitterness he kept saying repeatedly in my ear Heatley is a murderer and deserves to spend the rest of his life rotting in a cell. I eventually got annoyed turned around and said "yeah and Bertuzzi is a real f**kin boy scout"...then he got all pissed and threatened to kick my ***. some people are so sensitive :/

Ah yes, the leaning police strikes again.
As a rule every fan who complains about leaning should be thrown out on principle...
